you mean alpha

I'ts pretty good for an alpha.

It's awesome. I have been installing applications and getting must of them to work. However, I have realized that I don't really have a big need for windows applications anymore.

You just weren't convincing enough ;)

Here's what they sent me:

Hello,

Thanks for your interest! We are currently hard at work on CrossOver for the

Mactel machines, but we haven't settled on a release date yet. If you would like to be notified upon the release of CrossOver Mac, I invite you to create an account on our website and subscribe yourself to our \"announce\" email list. It is a low-traffic list, with usually less than one email sent out per month. Please note that CrossOver Mac will only work with Macs that use an Intel chip, not a PowerPC chip.

Cheers,

Jessica

Andazp, can you just share the file that they gave you?

Just show interested in the app (ej: is something you would probably buy), and say you want to voluntarily become tester, even if is only a alpha. Also say that you will report bugs and non-working programs, glitches etc, and that you have used wine / Darwine before.

They need testers who actively seek for bugs and report them, if you say you will do that they will include you in the program, that way you can have the latest test version.

It would be smart to use a different email if you already sent them a message and rejected you.

I can, but I prefer people getting in the program, this is why:

They really need bug reports to improve their mac version, which looks very promising, which in turn could eventually help the darwin project, this company not only uses wine/darwine in their products, they actually contribute back to the wine project a lot, they even show some their proprietary code.

Also this way you can allways dawnload the latest test version

Don't get me wrong, I completely agree with you. I've been a beta tester for Xandros Linux, WoW, Lineage 2 and a bunch of other things. I was always helpful with bugs I've found and the like. Unfortunately they aren't accepting everyone to test it, so for those that can't get it... Could you upload it somewhere?

I've contacted them and am waiting to hear back.

I personally belive ALKY's solution or the Leopard solution, which aim to run Win APPS natively, will rock.

Neway could someone please upload it to rapidshare/torrent it
