dtube
@Ricola, Can you tell me if your sound input port (line in, not MIC in) in back of your ip35-pro is working. I can never get this to work either in Leo or Snow Leo. Also, can you post the HDEF patch section you used to patch your dsdt.dsl BTW, can you also post a screen capture of the content of your /E/E Thanks. ricola
I have a quad-core Q6600 in my IP35-Pro SL, but "About this Mac" lists only 2 cores. Can I fix? Unzip and run AboutThisMac.zip attached. @Ricola,Can you tell me if your sound input port (line in, not MIC in) in back of your ip35-pro is working. Martin Stam
Thanks Ricola. Everything is working smooth now. I couldn't get 5.1 working over S/PDIF and followed this guide: http://www.infinitemac.com/f57/guide-how-t...da-to-sl-t3981/ Attached a patched AppleHDA kext for the IP35Pro v1.1/ACL888 that supports digital surround sound. Haven't tested analog out. AppleHDA.kext.zip

taylorutah
Can someone change my attached dsdt.dsl into a DSDT.aml ? I can boot into SL, but after messing with itunes(trying to update to 9.0) it freezes my system. It has frozen also while browsing in safari. not a KP, just frozen in time I think it's me dsdt.aml and I can't figure out how to make one from my dsdt.dsl I will also try deleting my LegacyHDA.kext and rebuild my Extensions.mkext thanks for the help and great guide!! dsdt.dsl.zip
chappcc
Make sure the NullCPUpowerManagement.kext is in your /Extra/Extensions folder... Thanks for this tip - it took care of the kernel panic. However, the install hangs at this line: ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin::start_waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowe rManagement) timed out I thought the NullCPUPowerManagement would override AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement. Should I remove the Apple kext? Thanks, Chappcc

taylorutah
thanks for the file ricola! I am still having the same problem. it happens on my Leopard install and my SL install. Screen freezes and machine is unresponsive. Getting ready to chuck it in the garbage. Any ideas on what would effect both installs? I had Leopard running on this flawlessly for many moons! iTronz
Hey I just tried installing Leopard using the instructions from the first page as I thought the same procedure would apply for installing Leopard, but I get a Kernal Panic when I try and boot up Leopard. Could anyone help me try and install Retail Leopard on this Motherboard? Full spec are... Intel E6300 @ 3.36GHz Abit IP-35 Pro 8GB DDR2 PC8500 ATI HD3870 512MB Samsung 250GB Drive I have a working iPC install right now but I would much prefer a Retail install. Any help would be great thanks .

Martin Stam
Used RC3 and EFI 10.3 in stead of the included files. My system works like a charm. Super stable, dual display on ATI 4850, digital surround out and so on.
ricola
Hi all, IP35-Pro user can install RC3 + EFI 10.3 with this Attached file (SLPro.pkg.zip) nb : other mobo user can also use this, but must to replace DSDT.aml with your own after installation. silca
Hi! Ricola THANK YOU for the post! Finally (after 2 days)with your info I managed to install and run SL. (I was running with no problems 10.5.5) My only problem now is with VGA resolution because I use a ATI 4850 (but I hope I will fix that too) thank you again and congratulations for your good work! Brywalker
@Brywalker : try boot with arch=i386 Nope. Same thing. Guess I am stuck with Leopard. Doesn't make any sense, but whatever. I am leaning toward it being my X1900XT, but I don't want to start shelling out money to have it not work.
