Jerking? do you mean if you lift the mouse a little the pointer will shoot to somewhere else on the screen ?

No just when I move the mouse around the screen every 10 seconds or so it will move farther then I wanted it to.

I did a lot of Googling in regards to jerky/skipping mouse movements and Leo/SL. I made a mistake though (my bad), it's AppleUserUpstreamClient.kext that's the issue. You can find quite a bit floating around about "mouse lag" or "mouse skipping" in Leo/SL. It happens mostly on nVidia graphics 8 series and above.

Okay I'll try that.

Could someone repost the "SL Pack V4" (http://uppit.com/v/0JKOP6PN), the link appears to have stopped working.

Thanks!

Not sure why you would want the V4 Pack, here's the latest one I've released. It was back on Page 89 I believe

The forum was bitching to me about incorrect BBCode when I tried to edit my thread, but since I don't want to completely erase everything yet (I want to wait until I am ready to post the new guide), I'll post the new pack here. It's "beta" for now, until I make sure it's absolutely perfect. I'll have an index of the pack in the new guide, but for now you can explore and see what I've included.

SL Pack v5.0b is Here!

EDIT: I think that link is broken too... I'll pick a different host and post a link here in a few minutes.

Did you try deleting the kext I suggested? I'm curious if it worked. I think I did the same thing a while ago, and it fixed my mouse "lag".

Yep it worked, no lag thanks for the help!

Now all I need to solve is the disappearing of files on my NTFS drive.

It seems the when I add files to a folder on a NTFS drive other files will disappear that are in the folder. But if I remove something they will reappear. Don't know if it's a Paragon NTFS issue or not.

Alright I need help.

So I am trying to install Snow Leopard Server.

I'm following the LifeHacker guide, because Im starting with no OS installed on any hdd.

I have a formatted the HDD.

I used my 8 gig restored the SL Server dmg and was able to also put the bootloader.

I boot from the USB with -v and there is no errors. i see the select your language.

Select my HDD, Customize.

Then it starts to install it goes from 24 mins to 21 mins I'd say around 5 % and then i get a KP

Any suggestions on how to get it working  i got nothing on my computer besides my laptop

Awesome!

As for the NTFS issues... I have found that 3rd party NTFS drivers cause WAY too many problems. I once lost ALL of my music, photos, and videos (along with thousands of other files) because of a 3rd party NTFS driver (but I kept manual backups then so I was fine :D).

I've decided to simply go the other route, and use software to read/write to HFS in Windows (and it works well). I use TM regularly to back up my Snow (system) and Storage (media) drives, so if anything happens with either of those drives due to use of the 3rd party HFS driver in Windows, I have my TM backups (which are 100% automatic and I never have to worry about them, because I keep my TM drive turned off when I boot any other OS besides SL).

My guess is it's a Paragon NTFS issue, but I'll try and look into it for you.

If your talking to me? No I have not, but I am not the one with the issue.... I am not 100% convinced this will help me out right now. I will give it a shot though soon.

:)

Let's see what happens to the other user :)

I deleted AppleUpstreamUserClient.kext from S/L/E and has appeared to have fixed my long running video skipping in Quicktime.

Do you know what the function of this kext is as I probably would prefer to use some kind of disabler instead of ripping out the kext - a future update may restore it.

It's related to NVIDIA graphics and, yes, future updates will probably restore it as they have previously. I know of no disabler out there. But, FWIW, the issue is not solely related to Hackintoshes. It appears in Apple Mac Pros, too, and will likely be addressed by Apple so you won't have to keep deleting the kext forever.

Yeah I used to have the problem early on when I first got 10.5.6 running.

I keep backups as well so I'm good hopefully.

Paragon is a pretty well known software company and I would trust them over a free product.

Alright so I'm close to perfect here lol.

I was able to install Snow Leopard Server onto my GA EP45-UD3R

I followed instructions here

http://lifehacker.com/5360150/install-snow...acking-required

I can boot with the usb into the OS.

Now the only thing thats not working is the AUDIO and also i need to install Chameleon.

When i install chamaleon what kexts do i add into the extension folder?

any suggestions?

I pinched a disabler from one of BlackOSX's packages (thanks BlackOSX  ) and re-installed the AppleUpstream....kext and works just fine except its broken auto sleep (no it's not a PM disabler just AppleUpstream only)

So I may just disable AppleUpstream and leave it in S/L/E

I tried replacing my old DSDT.aml and I was able to boot into the OS but i had no Video and No internet.

Any suggestions on how to get the Audio working?

It would be helpful if you included the details of your rig in your signature and attach your dsdt.

Without knowing your particulars...

At this stage to get audio working you will need to add Device HDEF into your dsdt and have the appropriate LegacyHDA kext in E/E relevant to your board. You also need to ensure that your on-board sound card is turned on in BIOS.

Others have reported excellent results with USB audio, I for one prefer to have everything working on my board since I've paid for it, if at all possible.
