My parents recently purchased a Gateway Netbook from HSN.com. After deciding it wasn't for them they gifted it to me.

It's the Gateway LT3000 according to HSN.com The Bottom of the machine says LT3000u

Its the Atom Z250 1.3ghz CPU, 1 gigabyte of DDR2 ram, and a 160gigabyte HD. It has GMA500 video.

I've been told Acer bought Gateway and this is the same machine as the Acer LT3000. *shrug*

I've done an OS X 86 build before 10.5.5 on a desktop, this is my first venture into netbooks.

I've searched around all over google and can't seem to find any information at all about this model and OSX86. Any input at all would rock as without a CD drive it's going to be a pain to reinstall XP + the drivers for the netbook if I can't pull off OS X.

Thanks in advance for any help, Austin Foster.

Hi Austin,

I have read that it is a no go for OSX on this computer. I think it is because of the GMA 500 video.

Too bad they did not buy the Dell 11z, that might make a great hack.

Best,
