Hi there,

What I have at the moment:

  • A PC with two drives - one with a couple of installs of Windows on, and the other with two partitions, the first of 300GB of data, the second, 200GB, blank. This is what I plan on installing to, the second partition of the second disk (located at SATA-1). The PC's using a Q6600, which I understand to be very suitable.
  • A 16GB USB stick
  • A retail 10.5.6 install disc as a .dmg file.

My question is, is it possible to install from the USB stick without using a blank DL, and without trashing either disk 0 (I can just unplug it, I guess?) or the first partition of disk 1? And all that without at any point using 'Disk Utility', as I don't have access to a Mac.

Cheers!
