Hi all, I've been lurking on the site for a while, trying to do my research but I'm having to admit defeat and ask the experts.

Please tell me if I'm missing any important info.

Ok, so to start, here's my hardware spec.

Asus P5QL-PRO motherboard with an Q9550 Quad Core running at the standard 2.8Mhz.

8 Gb of 800 DDR2 Ram

Asus EAH4850 (Same as ATI Radeon HD4850)

NTFS formatted SATAII HD (have IDE HD's spare if needed or could format to HFS)

IDE DVD drive

Various USB flash drives

Software wise I have

OEM copy of Leo

iDeneb V1.4

KALWAY LEO 10.5.1

Hacked board BIOS (0902)

Boot-123 (BOOT-KABYL-BUMBY)

Chameleon DFE

Now I have tried to follow some of the guides on the site but so far have failed to even get an install page up, I either get just a flashing cursor after the POST/Bios screen or the 'missing operating system' message.

I wont confusing things with the stories of my install attempts (but can do if useful), I'd much rather get any expert advice I can from scratch in case I'm doing something really stupid!

Many thanks

Hi,

Excuse for my english. I'll try to help you (i have the same configuration)

With you mother board you can install retail of OSX 10.5.6 (for exemple)

I must boot with Boot 132 compatible with your motherboard. (before flash your bios with this: 2102_BIOS_Asus_P5Q_for_MAC_OS_X___all_OS__incl._by_Juzzi..ROM.zip ( 1MB ) Number of downloads: 379) And configure your Hard disk in AHCI.

Boot with 132. After the boot, in your screen you muste have

boot:

Change your dvd to leopard press enter, enter you will boot leopard and follow instructions.

Crunch.

Hi, thank you for your help.

That bios is for just a P5Q, I have a P5QL-Pro, can I force it to use this bios?

Also I have tried installing a modified version of the P5QL-Pro bios but still get nothing. Do I just need to put the Boot-123 files on a USB drive or do something else with them?

I have the same mobo as you

so you are about tho experience Snow leopard with this guide

Hey....I Have The Same Mobo, But To Get Snow Leopard, I Researched That I Need To Get Leopard First...

But Following The P5Q Series Tutorials, I Have Gotten To The Part Where I Boot From iDeneb Or iAtkos, I Can't Get Past Apple Logo, It Tells Me To Restart..

Then I Found Out I Need A Patched/Modified Bios, I Need Bios 1060...Can't Find Links For it, Especially Since The New "2010 Rapidshare Limit"...

If You Could Tell Me What Modified Bios You Used Or A Link To It, I Would Greatly Appreciate It...

Thanks, Much Respect..
