Madcoaster
Hi guys, i hade a question. i want to replace my current 150 gb 7200 rbm 8 mb cache harddrive with a Maxtor Diamondmax 11, 400GB (7200rpm, SATA II, 16MB, NCQ (RoHS) I have read that S ATTa II is no differend then S ATTA but that the bandwith would be higher. so i would be possitif to buy a S ATTA II Harddrive. What do you guys think? Will S ATTA support the S ATTA II, and will i get better performance ore less if not completely compatible. Alsaw, will the x86 version of mac work ? As i am plannig on installing it nativly on my pc. Thanks guys ! Greets Michaël.
bofors
As long as you have an SATA interface in your machine, absolutely. Get and SATA II drive.

If you do not have an SATA II (3.0 Gbps) interface now, you will later.
