All of the sudden I cannot browse windows smb shares on my net and itunes doesn't display remote (iphone) and shared libraries.. Been tryin to debug this since the update... Konami® Posted August 9, 2009 Share Posted August 9, 2009 I had not test yet sharing but 10.5.8 has been a pain in the ass if you have wireless connection. There is a bug with the airport connection in which the signal is very low and sometimes you can't connect. I took this file from Snow Leopard's IONetworkingFamily.kext and put it under /Extra/ (You need Chameleon 2 or something similar) and I got internet access. Didn't touch the one inside Leopard's IONetworkingFamily.kext (removing it gives a lot of errors) This is for the Realtek RTL8169 chipset. Other chipsets supported by Snow Leo might be fixed too, but they would need the corresponding kext.
