You could try to use the chameleon rc4 installer on a mac. It has a gui and you can click on the right drive where it should be installed. Then you can boot into the osx installer from your usb.

After the installation is done you can use the chameleon rc3 provided by macpip to install chamaleon onto the hdd in your 1101 ;).

artix123, try this guide http://www.corsino.com/blog/?p=73 t's very simple. If you have internal hdd you can install sl to it from other mac or hackintosh, and then boot it from netbook. I used this way, everything working except lan, wlan and sound.

And what's about sound? Any solutions?

I always have this:

Sound assertion “0 != setupHostInterrupt ()” failed in “/SourceCache/AppleHDA/AppleHDA-179.1.4/AppleHDAController/AppleHDAController.cpp” at line 312 goto Exit

and

Sound assertion “!fProvider->open ( this )” failed in “/SourceCache/AppleHDA/AppleHDA-179.1.4/AppleHDAController/AppleHDAController.cpp” at line 234 goto Exit

And no output sound devices. May be some corrections do dsdt.aml? I tried to correct it myself, but still the same errors

hey thanks so much for your reply.

I am actually on a VAIO P, haha, I managed to get everything except resolution and audio. That's when KP comes in when I install the 2 kexts.

There was this ONCE when I was doing a single mac boot (without Windows), somehow I managed to get into the installation screen with the correct resolution, and that was the only time everything fully worked. Sadly I am trying to create a dual boot now so the working copy is gone  I'm rather busy these few weeks, so I think I'll put it aside and use my Windows 7 first, haha.

Is it really so slow? Are other netbooks faster using OSX86?

The Asus 1201N runs a lot faster, mainly due to the SATA chipset being recognized, and full accelerated video support. However it still lacks built-in Wifi support.

Hi,

I've followed this guide and the linked blog, and I'm stuck after install, as the keyboard and the touchpad never get recognized. I've tried a few kexts, but the final result is always the same. Also, I have to pass "cpus=1" as a boot parameter, or a usb mouse isn't recognized, and so I can't even install. Any suggestions on what should I try now, which kext should work on this?

Thanks!

Hi Guys!

I have an EEE PC 1101HA, too and i'd like to install Mac OS. Since the tutorials I've found are all a little outdated, I'd like to know, whether it is possible now to install MAC OS onto the 1101 with everything working and in an adequate speed. And my next question is what i would need to do that!

Hope you can help me!

Hi, I need a working AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext i have a 1201ha (same hardware of the 1101ha)

I tried many versions, but dosent work..

Vince, you need to remove the existing one under /System/Library/Extensions/AppleIntelIOATA.kext/Content/PlugIns, and put the most recent one from the VaioP threads there.

My problem with the keyboard was DSDT - I had to provide mine instead of using the one from this thread. Now I am still stuck in some stuff - wifi only works in 802.11G, not on 802.11n (in 10.6.5, as in 10.6.4 it worked on both), ethernet doesn't work, sleep doesn't work.

I also tried connecting a Huawei 3G key (E1692) and even if it is detected and installed, doesn't work. Looks like some problem still with the usb drivers.
