Tremayne Posted July 3, 2009 Share Posted July 3, 2009 My Intel 7W080's integrated ADI98x sound does not work out of the box with iAtkos 10.5.5 It Did however work with the older Jas / Uphuck 10.4.X Distributions. It might have worked with marklar aswell i can't fully remember. The volume icon does not appear in the menu bar and i am not able to move the volume slider in system preferences so I'm lead to believe that it is a driver issue. I have looked and cannot find the correct driver, it's probably included with Uphuck 10.4.X. If you are able to extract the drivers from the Uphuck CD and upload it here, Or can direct me to a download link with the correct driver for my sound card i would be very grateful Thanks! Tremayne. And come on someone HAS to have a 10.4.X iso that they can extract the drivers from, hell send me the whole folder and i'll find them myself. And i looked @ torrenting the whole .iso but most 10.4.X torrents are pretty dead. After I get this working i plan on posting a guide on how i got the rest to work, Suprisingly this system still runs fast. I have'nt tested it with Xbench or any games / vm yet. But i plan on attempting CS 1.6 W/ Crossovers sometime this coming week. EDIT: i think my sound even worked in kalyway 10.5.x but i only had that distro for a short period of time. i think i'm looking for appleazaliaaudio which i already have but all my kexts are showing up as folders and not standalones...
