Trying to install Leopard on XPS m1330

Right now i have Windows 7 RC 7100 on my notebook, with a 30gb partition created for the Mac OS X installation. I put in the CD and tried to install from it onto the new partition I created, but after installing, when trying to even turn on the computer, after the short load on the Dell screen(where I can access the BIOS setup and boot setup) it just says Missing Operating System. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. I've read some guides on this site and a few others, but most if it not understandable to me mostly, some of it is just hard to follow for me.

 

If there's a way I can just start up my original OS, the Windows 7, without reformatting(which I'm trying to avoid), please let me know.
