Brandon H
Hello forum members, I am trying to resurrect this discussion. Most of the discussion on this card is years old. I have yet to find any discussion regarding this card on Leopard (10.5). I was able to get 1280x76x32 support by modifying the outdated AppleIntel830.kext and AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext with my device ID (0x3582). I also was able to enable Quartz GL using OSx86Tools. However, I want/need Quartz Extreme (QE) support. Does anyone have any ideas on getting QE on 10.5.7 with a Intel 852GME? Here is what my system profile has to say: Display: Type: Display Bus: Built-In VRAM (Total): 64 MB of Shared System Memory Vendor: Intel (0x8086) Device ID: 0x3582 Revision ID: 0x0002 ROM Revision: OpenGL Engine activated via EFI String Kernel Extension Info: No Kext Loaded Displays: Display: Resolution: 1024 x 768 Depth: 32-Bit Color Core Image: Software Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Not Supported QuartzGL: Supported My current relevant kexts (all modified with my device ID (0x3582): AppleIntel830.kext AppleIntelIntegratedFramebuffer.kext AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext AppleIntel830GA.plugin AppleIntel830GLDriver.bundle I haven't had any problems so far with hangups at boot or anything. I'm very satisfied with everything except for QE. If anyone needs help getting to the point at which I am as far as the Quartz GL and resolution, just ask. If it is relevant, I am using a Toshiba Satellite A45-S151. I installed OSx86 using iATKOS v5i (Leopard 10.5.5) and I immediately upgraded using the Combo update to 10.5.7. At boot I see "Vesa 3.0 15MB Intel .../852GME/...". Any help is greatly appreciated. riws
Sry, no go. This IGP runs only in 10.4.1, it needs from Darwin x86 AppleIntel830.kext, AppleIntelGraphics.kext, AppleIntel830GLDriver.bundle and AppleIntel830GA.plugin. Nor these drivers or OpenGL Framework 10.4.1 are compatible with Leopard aka they wont load. I've been looking for a copy of xXx 10.4.11 Rev 2 for a while now and I can't find it. The torrents have no seeds at all and it seems to be staying that way. Does anyone know where I can get a copy of it? I have unlimited webspace and I'll be happy to host it.
