gnou
hi dudes i m running an A64*2 3800+ proc and wanted to install this wonderfull os that is mac osX but here are my problems: I have 3 hdd, 2 ide, one sata, i made a partition through PM on one ide. i followed instructions displayed in this page http://www.nedprod.com/Niall_stuff/MacOS%20X/index.html and when i want to check if there s any prob with booting on rescue mode and typing fdisk/dev/hda with linux it simply says that it can't open the folder... Besides I tried to skip this step booting on mac os installer. It worked pretty well until nothing was detected in this partition selector. any advice ? Thanx in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/17088-hdd-not-found/ Share on other sites

gnou
I create an unformated partition on an ATA drive Im running a DFI lanparty ultra D (Nforce 4) it is a primary, as asked and this is the last version of osX (10.4.6 i386) ##### Edit ##### oK it was a mistake.. i found out what was wrong and i could install mac os, but i face a new problem now : it simply doesn't boot displaying a little panel on the loading screen. My proc should be compatible with SSE3 but i tried the tips in the step 11, but nothing happened. ant ideas ? I'm running the exact same DFI board as you (although with a seagate 300gb SATA2 drive). I can't get the hd to show up during instal process. Did you use an AF partition, or what? Thanks...
