@ROBASEFR
Yes you are right ! Thanks for the eye ! And it is working with OSX 10.10 DP8 automatically ( with profil drawer/connect order of my SSID) with my Dlink DWA 140 rev B1 USB dongle ! How it works for me: I took Dlink Utility prefpane v 2.6.4 from latest "DWA-140_drv_RevD1_MACOS_4-2-9-4_UI_2-6-4-0_all_en_20140806.zip" Installed with Pacifist : Statup items folder in S/L/StartupItems Then took with Pacifist : RT2870USBWirelessDriver.kext v 5.01.09 from "MT7610U_D5.0.1.09_SDK1.0.2.10_UI5.0.0.15_20140822.dmg" and installed it with Kext Wizard And took RaWLAPI.framework and put it in S/L/Frameworks Rebuild cache and permissions with Kext Wizard v 3.7.10 DWA-140_drv_RevD1_MACOS_4-2-9-4_UI_2-6-4-0_all_en_20140806.zip
scoobdriver
Superstar .. Used this to get my ASUS USB-AS50 Dongle working on my Surface . However it is only working in single channel mode I think. (It also only appears to see 5Ghz networks and not 2.4Ghz) Do you have any experienxce of the issue ? Edit Scrap that.. I think it is only 5Ghz, I also think it is only operating at 20Mhz , Not 40Mhz or 80Mhz, would this be correct ? Yes you are right ! Thanks for the eye ! Tightlovin
Hey peoples. Here's a modified version of the Ralink Airport app, modified to work with the dwa-140 prefpane. If you want to try it out, goto /S/L/PrefPanes and delete the DWA-140WirelessUtility.prefpane; then copy the WirelessUtility.prefpane supplied to /S/L/Prefpanes. Finally put the wireless utility app wherever you like and add it to login items, and there you go, ralink wifi that vaguely resembles airport. NB, i created neither of the two programs supplied, although i modified that whose copyright apparently resides with aqua-mac. The other one, i.e the prefpane appears to belong to D-Link, in which case the copyright of such resides with them. this util don't connect to wifi profile at starup... it just starts and network profile must be chosen from prefpane... camoguy
this util don't connect to wifi profile at starup... it just starts and network profile must be chosen from prefpane... I made a modification to an older Dlink DWA-130 package, and replaced the RT2870 kext that wasn't compatible with 10.10.5 and inserted one that is working. I have added the following line to the postinstall script so it should automatically launch at login. osascript -e 'tell application "System Events" to make login item at end with properties {path:"/System/Library/StartupItems/MiniTaskUSB-DWA130.app", hidden:false}' Need some feedback from people that have tested it on Yosemite 10.10 I am currently running this driver and its working well. Wifi starts on login and resumes after a sleep. I haven't run the package on a clean install yet, but this is a proof of concept. Desactivate WPS (associate IE and probe IE) ! in Wireless utility Input also your préfered DNS server ! in System preferences /Network/802.11nWLAN At last the utility works now !
