MiniHack
My Windows only booted after I used the windows version of the Bootthink installer (with the OSX version already installed). Then though it takes you first to the windows boot manager and then second to the Bootthink GUI, so for me it doesn't seem possible under boot think 2 to go direct to the chosen windows installation from the Bootthink GUI. It works, but still you end up going through two boot managers. Anybody managing dual or triple boot using only the Boot Think GUI?

chokia
Try to run the file : /Darwin/MBR/SetupMBR.bat ------------------- This works to allow BootThink to appear first after the boot but when any windows hardisk icon is cliked then the windows boot menu will appear again with "Boot Think" listed on the menu But I think this is good enough for V2, maybe in V3 every windows partitions (XP, Vista, se7en) will boot itself without going through the windows boot menu first. xiezhy
Update 2.2 (suggestion that all users update) 1. fixed some bugs that may be result in the Windows system does not be recognized 2. support loading the files /Darwin/System/Library/Extentions/*.kext under windows download: http://www.apple163.com/thread-1476-1-1.html I have 64bit XP, Vista, Windows7, Ubuntu, Tiger and Leopard on GUID Since i hate ubuntu native installation will ruins the boot loader creating the ugly grub, swap partition and displaying as "hd04 Linux" instead of "Ubuntu" on Boot Think GUI, so i decided to install Ubuntu using wubi on empty NTFS partition labeled as "Ubuntu" via XP, only then it displays as [ubuntu] on Boot Think GUI and boot instantly when click it on Boot-Think GUI. Boot think v1 recoqnizes all partitions including DVD and my shared non-bootable partition for data storage. But i still hate XP doesnt boot directly but have to go through its bootloader. Vista and Windows7 are unable to boot from Boot Think GUI but only boot via XP boot loader which appears after clicking XP logo on Boot Think GUI. Now I boot leopard and install Boot Think V2 on it and restart. The GUI is more cleaner now displaying only bootable partitions. Leopard|Tiger|Ubuntu|XP|Vista|Se7en But Now I can only boot Leopard, Tiger and Ubuntu. None of the windows partition can boot. Any help? and i really want them to boot directly without windows bootloader menu. You can download the Boot Think 2.2. It have fixed the bug. -------------------
oldnapalm
Hello. Boot Think hangs on boot, nothing happens. GRUB and Chameleon 1.0 work fine, but Chameleon 2.0 just reboots before showing any info. Motherboard is a MSI 945 Platinum, processor is a P4 EMT64. On Asus motherboard with Core 2 Quad processor all work fine. Any ideas? Thanks. chokia
You can download the Boot Think 2.2. It have fixed the bug. Oh Thank you very very much xiezhy , i really must try this and report, but unfortunately i already cleanup my hardisk and start a cleaner install due to my attempt installing snow leopard (that i torrent'ed for days sigh) with chameleon updates (but still fail) i cant get the update to be installed on chameleon v2 either. (bump and tired) So now i shall forget about snow leopard and chameleon and go back to your beautiful Boot Think 2.2 I dont hope it'll support snow leopard yet as the current snow release is still beta and not user friendly to most hackintosh including mine. I hope by the time uphuck releases Aitkos v8 10.6 Snow Leopard DVD, we shall also have Boot Think v3 that support snowleo, included in the dvd like what he did for Aitkos v7 10.5.7 DVD. The Storm
first, thanks a lot for this wonderfull bootloader ! I've been using it for a while now, and everything was fine : to get the most retail HackOS, I put everything into Darwin folder (Extra folder when I was using C2 ...), including com.Apple.boot.plist with EFI strings for my graphic and ethernet cards. so far, the .plist located in /Library/SystemConfiguration was bypassed at boot as expected, but 2.2. BootThink seems to load this one first, and the one located in /Darwin only if the other is missing : after installing it, no EFI string and so on anymore ! then I had to reinstall 2.1 version, and everything came back ... did you people encounter such an issue ? can you also confirm that it comes from a modification in BT since 2.1 ?? chokia
Ok i finished testing Boot Think 2.2 installed in 1st partition (XP) My setup is 6 operating systems in MBR partition Table* Partition 1: XP Pro boots directly Partition 2: Leopard boots directly Partition 3: Tiger boots directly Partition 4: Ubuntu boots directly Partition 5: Vista boots with windows boot menu Partition 6: Windows7 boots with windows boot menu Partition 7: Shared data unbootable Since Boot Think is installed in XP partition, XP boots without windows boot menu As my goal is to make every bootable partition boots without any other menu, I wonder if installing Boot Think and "run the file : /Darwin/MBR/SetupMBR.bat" in partition 5 and 6 can make them boot directly too? What exactly SetupMBR.bat do? *Note: Guid Partition Table (GPT) gives all sort of problem when installing x64bit XP and GPT takes up a lot of space for setup (the 1st partition will be used by GPT already 200MB and alternate 8MB at beginning and ending of partitions - what a waste) Since my notebook only have 120GB, i had to use MBR, and they're all installed and boot successfully without taking up space. Evostar*
Working Perfect still with 10.5.8 update. is resolution change only up to 1600x1200? my native resolution is WUXGA 1920x1200 but not supported by bootthink? g="1920x1200x32" = 1600x1200 only. the reason why i'd like to request 1920x1200 resolution support is with a Mobility x600 128mb 3150 i do not need a kext for my display. as whatever boot think resolution is set at my os x resolution matches without any mouse tearing like with callisto. so i hope to have native 1920x1200 without a kext. i appreciate if this is possible and im sure many other -x1000 owners would be too. thanks for you help. edit: just did the ?video command at boot. only goes up to 1600x1200x32 under vesa2. am i stuck with this idea now? zarac
hi xiezhy and thanks again for your great bootloader. i've been using it ever since version 1.1.0 and it works great for me. one nice thing with your bootloader is that it contains a decrypter and a CPU PM disabler in the code, so no kexts for that are necessary. but with the release of 10.5.8 update, almost all hackintoshes lost the sleep function. some users found that removing disabler.kext helps getting sleep working again, but only if you're using a proper dsdt patch (and at the price of a few degrees hotter CPU). unfortunately, Boot Think users cannot check if this works because removing the disabler is not possible. could you make the decrypter and the disabler as options while installing Boot Think? thanks

AdLion
I have no problem so far with this bootloader but I can't understand why booting OSX with it changed my HDDs (and the relative icon) from internal to external. If I boot with another bootloader icons are fine. Also, when I hit Restart in OSX, the monitor go black but the POST doesn't appear and I need to do an Hard Reset.
