ELECTRObounce
Hey, when I installed Mac OS X 10.5.7 retail, I installed on a 30G partition, so now I'm stuck with about 20GB left and another Partition with the rest of my space on! Is there anyway to fill up the space so I can get the whole space? I do not want to format, uninstall or delete my current partition. Thanks. Beerkex'd
Have you tried actually doing what it says in the text? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/166767-partition-frustration/#findComment-1158473 Share on other sites
ELECTRObounce
Have you tried actually doing what it says in the text? Yes, and It wont let me resize, or drag any dividers, coz there aren't any. Beerkex'd
Select the empty partition and remove it. Then drag your OSX partition to the size you want. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/166767-partition-frustration/#findComment-1158481 Share on other sites

Beerkex'd
Weird. I can do that on mine. Here, any free space on an existing partition can be converted to a new partition. Then I can drag and resize them all I want. Are you using GUID or MBR partition scheme? Beerkex'd
Well that could be why. I don't know. I'm using GUID, journaled, non case sensitive myself. Maybe it's possible to convert it to Journaled? Don't know if it'll help. I think I saw an option to do that in Leopard Cache Cleaner (which is excellent btw, I think everyone should use it): http://www.northernsoftworks.com/leopardcachecleaner.html (unregistered version is fully functional). Sorry I can't be of more help. It's pretty straightforward here, I don't know what can be wrong on your end. SticMAC™
It has to be HFS+ ( Mac OS Extended Journaled) otherwise it wont go! You could use Gparted to resize, but why did you choose un-journaled??! Just enable journaling in the Disk Utility File menu!!! Then resize it! SticMAC @ beerex'd: sorry for reanswering the question, you type faster than me Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/166767-partition-frustration/#findComment-1158523 Share on other sites
Beerkex'd
No, thanks Stic, I didn't know that. That's good to know. (not the typing, the Journaled! ) Lol, editing my post like mad here.. I didn't know you could convert to Journaled in Disk Utility.
