Hey Guys

Well , after trying 4 different versions of OSX86 , 15 GB of download , about 15 times formatting the hard disk

I can proudly say that Kalyway , is my favorite .

And Since I've surfed thousands of websites trying to get OSX to work ,I will be trying to tutor you to fully install it on your AMD machine in one post

Those I have tried

1- iPC OSX (Doesn't Boot to installation)

2- iAktos OSX (Doesn't Boot to installation)

3- Zephiroth AMD OSX (Boot , installed , but doesn't start due to video incompatibilty)

4- iDebian OSX (Still downloading , and I will share the experience when done :D)

Note : I have been using Acer Aspire 5100-3357 for this tutorial , but it should work on any AMD machine

1-If you haven't downloaded it yet , just search on any torrent site , and download Kalyway AMD Leopard (Sometimes , people call it Kaylyway or Kaylway) it should be about 3.66 GB or something.

2-After download , Burn the iso file to a DVD without editing any of the contents of the iso file.

Note: Make sure that you will be formating a full driver at least for your OS X , so backup your files , also try to get all the details concerning your drivers to ease the installation

3-Now Restart your PC and boot from the DVD and Press F8 when you the see the count down.

4-Input -v and then Press Enter.

5-Wait for it to load , it should take some time , don't worry about that.

6-You should then see a nice interface , with a windows asking for Language , choose prefered and then Next button.

7-Now wait for the menu bar to load , and Click Utilities, then Disk Utility.

8-Choose the partition you want to install OSX in . and Then choose Erase from the Tabs on the Right and Choose Journaled File System and name the drivers "Leopard" for example

9-Close and go next till the window with the Customize button , Click on this button

10-This should actually determine whether you will enjoy your new OSX or you'll be banging your head on the wall , so take a deep breath and concentrate.

----------------------------------------------

10a- Don't worry about the Languages or Fonts , choose whatever you need .

10b- For Kernel make sure you choose one and only the sleep kernel (which is the default i suppose)

10c- For Graphics , choose your driver exactly , if you can't find the device but you can find the vendor don't choose any and we will fix that later

10d- For Sound and Network choose whatever you think might be your driver , I am kind of sure that it won't harm you by any means

10e- Choose ALL the Mobo Chipsets

10f- Choose whatever you need from the Third Party Applications

10g- Choose the first patch in Hardcoded_SMBIOS

10h- If you have SS2 not SS3 , choose whatever under SSE2 patch (If you don't know what does this mean , install anyways)

10i- In Other Patches , If you have a dual core , you might wanna try the cpus patch (you can try not to. if failed , install again with this one checked this time) . and you can choose the rest of patches , they are useful

10j- Install the first AMD Patch and legacy flag (if first patch hasn't worked for you , reinstall with second patch)

-------------------------------------------------

11- Now Click Done and install , and skip verification ..

12- When done , restart or wait for the auto restart

13-Remove the DVD and let it boot from the hard Disk , if you get a black screen with nothing happening (you might hear audio too) , then click on the power button and restart , this time when you see the count down press any key

and then input -s .

When it's ready for you to write your command , write the following line per line (Sirst line + Enter , Second line + Enter)

mount -uw /

/movevideodrivers

Type yes to ONLY your vendor drivers , say no to the rest

then

exit

14- This time if you have seen the Welcome Screen , the hard part is over , you can write a thank you in here :D

15- Choose and input your preferences all the way , and the new Leopard OSX86 is yours..

Note : I will try to answer any question , but you need to know . I am not a professional , I just have some experience and I wanted to share

Useful Info : If you want to install iPhone SDK with XCode on an early Leopard , I have a solution , tell me if you need it

Andrew

Good Luck
