A Nonny Moose Posted May 6, 2006 Share Posted May 6, 2006 The browser isn't a problem, but rather the way the system itself works with file extensions. That's the "Safari security hole" in a nutshell. A "safe" file is downloaded and it gets sent to the Terminal (because it's really a command) instead of Preview (or some other program that doesn't normally have the power to destroy your Mac). Then the script works its magic (after you put in a password). Regardless of the browser, if you open the critter, you got the critter. With that being said, I use Safari with Unsanity's Paranoid Android APE.
