168
I have 3 HDD's, all are NTFS except for the HSF on the partition of 1 of the HDD's. I have NTFS-3G and MacFuse installed, but the problem is there regardless. On one of the partitions of the 3 HDD's, it has a little lock on the PARTITION only, the other partitions on the same HDD I can access and write, but this particular partition with the LOCK at the bottom left hand side HDD icon I can read but I CAN'T WRITE onto. It says I don't have any permissions. I have the same issue in 10.5.5 and 10.5.6, I have tried both. Does anybody have any ideas what I can do to get rid of the lock so I can write to the drive? Beerkex'd
You might be able to right click the drive's icon, click get info, and take ownership of the drive. Or use the Terminal. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_system_permissions http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chmod Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/163822-locked-hdd/#findComment-1142549 Share on other sites

It's fine in Windows, just in MAC it has the lock on the whole partition, the other partitions on the same HDD are fine.
