Problem in IDE DVD drive

Hi,

 

I just brought a new motherboard and a new 160GB sata HDD.....and sell the old 80 GB IDE HDD....but the problem is after installing the MAC[ideneb v1.4] my Sony IDE DVD-RW show every CD, DVD, DVD-DL as Blank.... Plz HELP

 

My Spec are

 

Motherboard --- Asus M2N68-AM [Working Perfect]

Processor --- AMD Anthlon X2 6000 3.0GHz [Dual Core] [Working Perfect]

Graphics Card--- NVidia XFX 9400 GT [Working Perfect]

RAM --- 3GB DDR2 800 Mhz [Working Perfect]

Optical Drive --- Sony Internal IDE DVD-RW [Not Working]

HDD --- WD 160 GB SATA [Working Perfect]

Ethernet --- Nforce 630 [Working Perfect]

Sound --- USB Sound CARD [Working Perfect]

See slashack's AppleViaATA over 4 Gb...'s sticky thread, in the last page there a test AppleNforceATA kext you can try but you need to find out the device id of the IDE controller on your board first, using lspci -nn command from PCI Utils, you can install it from OSX86 Tools.

i know that IDE devices are harder to get it work on osx86.

i have also 2 IDE harddrivers for Data in my Pc and i also cant get them working in osx86

 

you must buy a Sata DVD Driver or burner what ever you like, but it must be Sata !!!!

If I may kindly ask, what distro did you use to make your motherboard install correctly and what chipset drivers did you install? I am having a hard time installing iPC for that motherboard. I am getting this message:

same problem overhere

 

i have this XxX_x86_10.5.6_Install_Disc_Universal_Final.v2 installed and everything works fine...., but i don't see my optical drive ...LG IDE -DVD-RW.

 

And i have some sound problems ( i have a E-MU 0404 USB.... and some times makes some wierd sounds and i need too restart'it) if i watch a HD movie on mac the sound behave strange .....and very ugly.

"i have install the original drivers from de CD and i try the drivers from de manufacturer site... and it's the same problem......the sound crackles..or something like that !!!

 

Please HELLLLLLPPPPP !!!!

Me too. Is it possible to install with IDE DVD drive ? I got grey apple and load icon for 5 minutes and then it freezes.
