Hi guys everything was working fine untill I decided to do this:

http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=126888

Now all I get is a grey screen with the mac simbol on it but the machine never boots

I did the -v start up and I see no errors

The last two lines say:

Mac Framework successfully initialized

using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers

I´m pretty sure it had to do with the .kext file included in package from the thread above because I installed the Powermanager.bundle seperatly and the computer booted up only thing that was diferent was that the Battery simbol had disapeared

I´m on 10.5.6 ideneb updated from 10.5.5

The computer is an Asus eee 1000he

Hope someone can help

probably wasn't the best idea to install system critial kernel extensions from 10.5.3 on 10.5.6.

Try booting from an installation DVD with -v

When it passes the mbinit: done message, press your reset button and try booting from HDD again.

I know this might sound like black magic but that's actually the only way I can cold-boot my system presently (vanilla 10.5.6 ACPI/APIC kexts).

So who knows, maybe it works for you.

If you've made a backup of the extensions that were replaced by the fix you've installed (or if you know which kexts were replaced) you could probably stick the originals back in using TransMac or MacDrive under Windows.

Or if you have a 10.5.6 OSx86 install DVD, you can click customize, deselect everything and if your DVD has it, only pick an ACPI fix. Then install and cross your fingers..

Yeah ikonw it wasnt the best idea but what are going to do hehe

I have a back up copy of everything, only thing is that I can´t see the partition on witch I installed OSX because it has no letter asing to it, do you know a way I can browse it or how I can get windows to reconise it with out having to deleate it?

Yes! it worked! i found a way to get it recognised by windows and manged to deleate the file and restore it with MacDirve!

Thank you so much!
