tadpole
Big thank you to Marionez and others. This was the final piece in my SL install puzzle. It also enabled my webcam to be recognized, so very pleased. It would be nice if you could install the kext in to /E/E. Then upgrades would be a little easier, but good enough!! Congrats on the awesome piece of work. Running 10.6.2 on a P5Q, Chameleon v2 rc3.

The extension you're looking is the one with autosensing that leaves the original in its place, but digital out and mic autosensing don't work yet. They are working on it... stay tuned. A question to you: it's a little bit OT, but how di u solved the usb ehci/uhci sleep problem? can you point me to the correct topic? tnx
stefano.85
What was the error? I'm relatively new with the verbs, so I'm not surprised I made some mistakes I'll load it up and give it a whirl. I can't actually test the digital stuff since I don't have anything with SPDIF, but I can look for any sound assertions that might crop up. I've tested your alc1200kext with hdaenabler and vanilla applehda. The autosensing work perfectly from analog out to phones. sorry but i haven't got any digital stuff to try the other ports. Do you have edited dsdt for the alc1200?? so that i can remove hdaenabler sorry for english. bye
jbritz22
The digital audio output is working fine but cuts out every minute and comes back, this is annoying... Know of any way to fix it?

caxio
Legacy kext, you must install this on a clean vanilla applehda, if you've not, you should got one clean applehda back. ATM those with 10.6.2 hacked acl1200 should continue using that, when 10.6.3 will be out, you will have a clean applehda and you should install this legacy. - *remove* /S/L/E/applehda hacked kext - check you don't have HDAenabler in /S/L/E - download a clean applehda 10.6.2 (here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1389581 ) - install in /S/L/E - download LEGACY applehda, and install it in /Extra/ for example - run Kext Utility to update kextcache after Mac Pro Audio Update 1.0 offer in snow update dont works more ,i need delete applehda and reinstall a clean 10.6.2 applehda and audio reworks, but in snow update re offer Mac Pro Audio Update 1.

outlaw69uk
did anyone try to install on /Extra/Extensions? weird... i got errors about HDAEnabler not loading/duplicate, never had sleep issues tho P5Q-EM Core2Quad Q6600 4GB RAM NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT 512MB Mustang Sally, (since we have the same mobo), how do you install the custom kexts? /Extra/Extensions to keep your system vanilla? or in /System/Library/Extension? I have almost exactly the same setup as this, except my card is a GTS and, I am getting nothing. Have tried to install, at some point, almost every version on here and elsewhere. The voodoo one gives me 'sound' but, not the inputs and options. Th ALC1200 one here gives me this Intel High Definition Audio: Device ID: 0x104382FE Audio ID: 12 Available Devices: Which is a different Device ID than I see here, but, my board says its a 1200? Running 10.6. at the moment (because when I update to 10.6.2 it kernel panics on DSMOS? Am still fairly new to this, but, I see lots of people with almost the same gear as me running fine, so, confused Any help would be great.

acehigh
Hi all, with upgrade to 10.6.3 I got the same mistake than xumix and audio has stopped working. But I think that solution proposed by fleebailey is not so good because (if I understand well) it is a patched applehda with version number greater than ever. We should prefer a proper enabler, like the one made by c.craigen for 10.6.2 to be put in /Extra, isn't it? Still waiting without sound...

marionez
Modded AppleHDA kext from vanilla 10.6.3 on first post: Direct download: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...st&id=69073 Install in /S/L/E Run kextutility reboot Legacy is quite useless if this would not work through updates... so I dismiss it.
