This is a guide for installing from a 10.5.6 retail DVD and SW Update to 10.5.7 for Gigabyte EP35 DS4.

After many weeks trying to install osx on my GA-EP45-DS3R, I decided to buy a ga-ep35-ds4 hackintosh running iatkos 10.5.7 that was on craigslist. Most everything seems to be ok except for time machine not recognizing the network (the network itself works though). I've got version 1.6.1 of  IONetworkingFamily.kext in /System/Library/Extensions/. Is there a safe way for an idiot like me to get that working properly?

 

Once I get that fixed, I may hunker down and try getting the GA-EP45-DS3R installed using this tutorial.
