SirMax
I upgraded My myzar 10.4.5 installation with his 10.4.6 patch and for some reason, my dvd-rw drive is no longer recognized. I have no idea why this is. I know it was working becase I burned a disc with itunes. Is there some way to remove the update? or has someone else ensountered a similar problem? I'm on a hp zv6000 laptop AMD Athlon 64 3200+ 512mb RAM ATI x200m (No driver support) TSST Corp (samsung) DVD+-RW
m1k3
I have a zv6000 as well and I did a fresh install with the 10.4.6JaS DVD, and I'm having the same problem.... No DVD drive and bluetooth also does not work. I would try grabbing some kext's off of an older DVD, but I don't have one.... Does anyone have any suggestions? EDIT: I had a brainfart and forgot to move one of the default kext's.... I guess I just went through this whole install process too many times and was rushing things. Anyway.... I did a sudo mv /System/Library/Extensions/IOATAFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleOnboardPCATA.kext /System/Library/Extensions/IOATAFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleOnboardPCATA.kext_disabled/ And the dvdr drive is now recognized. Still no bluetooth though....
