Pu7o
Now that you mention that, it does seem a bit odd. That he/she knows more about what happened to Maxxuss than the rest of us. It's not just that. If I remember correctly, Maxxuss replied to comments on his blog under the alias "rawillkill".
technoir
If Ra was Maxxuss , it wouldn't put us any closer to knowing who HE/she is.
Gone Like The Wind
Good luck Maxxuss and take care wherever you are. I always had a good time reading what you had done.
rohde
A hahaha, as much as I wish I was maxxuss I am not. You guys can check my IP and can clearly see I'm not in Europe but in NYC. I was just helping people out on the site. I was the admin you know. But you do know what happened to him, right?
REVENGE
Did Maxxuss purchase the konglish.org domain after it was abandoned by Thorin Sprandel? Or is there a real connection between him and Sprandel?
Jeezoflip
Maybe maxxus was/is an intel engineer. It would make sense... They had to work real close with Apples engineers and make the OS run on an intel machine. Even steve said it in the last keynote him self that apple and intel's engineers got very close over the whole project. Plus, i doubt he would be an apple emp considering apple took down alot of their source from the deveopers site after alot of this.

jpolster2005
why? he does. He got us a .4.4 and a .4.5 and never did anything about gma900 in .4.6 Hes been totally lazyin doing his part for a 10.4.6 patch. I have a feeling we might be left on our own for 10.5. It looks like im gonna be stuck in 10.4.5 unless SOMEBODY does his job and makes a patch.
SaberSHO
If you feel so strongly jpolster2005, why don't you write the next patch? dude...STFU. Id gladly give my 129 to maxxuss instead of apple any day!
swisspeep
I think indeed Maxxus is working for someone. Why wouldn't he share his knowledge with us otherwise? He just keeps coming up with these magical solutions without release of source code, comments or anything. Anyway, it's just a computer. We can all write code, we just have to think. We'll manage to patch any release that comes out. But it's important that we keep organised. Tell each other what we find and how we did it. Open Source is not just free software you know.. Anyway, Maxxus you did some amasing {censored}. But just HOW?

a8ne
If Maxxuss is Apple why do Apple's lawyers send out nasty threats like this: March 22, 2006 VIA E-MAIL Re: Apple Computer Copyrighted Material Illegally Distributed Through www.maxxuss.org and www.konglish.org Dear Mr. Sprandel: We represent Apple Computer, Inc. Two websites for which you are the registrant and administrative contact, www.maxxuss.org and www.konglish.org, are currently providing instructions and links to "patch" files that allow for the unauthorized installation of Apple's Mac OS X operating system on a generic x86 computer. These patch files contain decrypted versions of copyrighted software that Apple distributes with Mac OS X. Any unauthorized copying, use, modification, or distribution of this copyrighted software is strictly prohibited. Moreover, Apple uses encryption and other technological measures embedded in Mac OS X to effectively control access to its copyrighted operating system code and to effectively protect its rights as a copyright owner in that code. The instructions and links posted on www.maxxuss.org and www.konglish.org are primarily designed for the purpose of circumventing these technological measures. Accordingly, providing them to the public via your websites violates the anti-circumvention provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. §§ 1201(a)(2) and 1201((1). See also Universal City Studios v. Reimerdes, 111 F. Supp. 2d 294, 325 (S.D.N.Y. 2000). Apple therefore demands that you take steps to remove from www.maxxuss.org and www.konglish.org all instructions and links related to the unauthorized installation of Apple's Mac OS X operating system on a generic x86 computer. Failure to do so may subject you to criminal and civil liability. Please notify me by reply e-mail as soon as you have complied with this demand. Pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 512©(3)(A), I hereby certify that I have a good-faith belief that distribution of the above-identified software through www.maxxuss.org and www.konglish.org is unauthorized by Apple, its agents, or the law; that the information in this notice is accurate; and, under penalty of perjury, that I am authorized to act on behalf of Apple, the owner of the exclusive rights that have been infringed. Apple is prepared to take further action with regards to this matter, and expressly reserves its rights to do so. If you are represented by legal counsel with respect to this matter, please provide me with the identity of that counsel.
