matteoweb
Hi, i can't find no one of these 2 drivers for my eeepc 900hd with OSX 10.4.1... 1) audio 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 04) 2) wireless 01:00.0 Network controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8187SE Wireless LAN Controller (rev 22) For these others i've got a problem instead: 3) video 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller (rev 04) 00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller (rev 04) 4) ethernet 03:00.0 Ethernet controller: Attansic Technology Corp. L1 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter (rev b0) My problem is that i can't overwrite old kext (i've found new kexts): even if i copy the new kext (in /System/Library/extensions, giving the right owner and chmod), in "about this mac->more info" i always see the old drivers (VGA-Compatible Controller and a generic ethernet). No errors on boot. Someone can help me pls? Little Penguin
I have a cheepie eee 900HD , 900HDB that I bought for $250 plus a crapload of taxes. 900 Mhz Celeron + 160GB drive. 1GB Ram @ 667MHz (not bad!) Thanks to this site and OSX86 Wiki i located the following in two days. Video: use the 900GMA driver..I tried the 915,950, etc and they don't work for me. Use OSX86 tool to enable quartz. Audio: I"m using a "VoodooHDA.kext" driver ...on any oddball Intel Audio codec combination like a STAC9271X5 on some other system. You'll have to fiddle with the audio settings but works with Headphone and internal mike (barely) Atheros Attansic bargain basement GB phy solution: "AttansicL1eEthernet.kext". Found that who knows where. Realtek Brain microwaver : This one was hard..saw lots of USB solutions but only one mini PCI-E package. Not detected by AirPort but works well enough. Don't forget to exit the application once you are connected because the app uses 10% of the CPU on that celeron. "Realtek_RTL8187SE_MacOS10.5_Driver_073_UI_1.6.2.zip" BTW, I'm using iPC, IDeneb 1.0 for AMD Intel with Vodoo Kernel (+ Suitcase) 10_5_6 and so far no Kernel Panicks. This will get you going until newer drivers are posted, I hope. Little Penguin Forgot to add as a CYA..Yes I paid $125 for the Apple tax and got a beer coaster with a Big X on it as proof. HA!
