ruindpzzle Posted August 30, 2005 Share Posted August 30, 2005 I've installed the deadmoo on a internal modular (replaces DVD-RW drive) on my Dell 9100 Laptop. It boots normally following my trashing the ATI kexts. However I only get 1024x768 and the sound is very choppy. Both the touchpad and trackpoint work, as well as the volume and mute buttons. It runs pretty fast as well. I've frozen it a few times: when changing the sound preferences trying to use my griffin iMic (doesn't work) and also in the screensaver prefrences. I'm unable to get the wireless card, and bluetooth cards to work, and like I mentioned the sound is choppy. I applied the maxxus patch and i have no trouble with any applications yet. here's the specs of my machine: PROCESSOR- 80546, 3.2GHz, 1M, PENTIUM 4 PRESCOTT DT, 800, D0 GRAPHICS - ATI Mobility Radeon 9800 256MB, M18 Dell TrueMobile 300 Bluetooth Internal card Dell Wireless 1450 (a/b/g) Dual-Band WLAN miniPCI Card Audio - SIGMATEL STAC 9750 AC97 I hope this helps somebody, and maybe i'll get some advice too. I trashed all the ATI kexts, then ended up putting all the ones w/ only radeon in the title, but still nothing. i got the wireless card to recognize, but i haven't tried it yet, i will tonight. You only need it if you don't have SSE3, which you do have. It's not clean and you don't get the proper support. Burn the DVD and directly install it.
