I've gone through the installation process for my MSI Wind U100 / 160gb abot five times and am so close to getting a working 10.5.6 install, but always fail at the last hurdle. I do the following:

Kalyway 10.5.2 DVD

Kaylyway 10.5.3 + 10.5.3 kernal updates

Standalone 10.5.4, 10.5.5, 10.5.6 updates

Along the way I'm updating drivers/kexts (most applied after 10.5.4, as per Paul O'Brien's video walkthrough.

When I get to 10.5.6 I get the problem with mouse and trackpad freezing, but re-run the MSIWindDrivers pack using an external kbd/mouse to get over that hurdle.

At this point, I have 10.5.6, the display has gone back to 800x600 stretched. No wifi yet (another hurdle to jump over).

So, to fix the display problem, I open the Kext helper app and try to re-do the AppleIntelGMA950.kext. Without fail, it always breaks at this point. So when I say without fail, what I really mean is 'with a large does of fail'!

The failure is basically that after rebooting to get the display working again, after installing this kext, I cannot boot - stays on the gray apple screen with the twhirling gray spinner/wait icon and the spinny beachball to match.

I'm so close, I feel, but need a little help from this point on. Please let me get over this hurdle! I'll be your best friend, and all that. Make you a nice cuppa tea in the morning, foot massage. But that's as far as I'll go :-D

Thanks all
