rxfx
First things first, I love these forums, learned so much.............. But, I have searched the wiki, the forums, google, etc. and I can not find a way to get "sleep" to work with my Gigayte EP45-DS3R using the iDeneb v1.4 (10.5.6) DVD. I bought this board b/c it is highly compatible with the Mac OS X and was very hopeful to get "Sleep" to work. When I try to "Sleep," the fans just boost to full speed and the display turns off. I cannot wake the computer up after this without a reset. Unfortunately, I can't even get my monitor to turn back on after the display shuts off due to the energy management setting I have in the System Prefences Pane after its been off for too long. Very frusterating... Durring iDeneb Install I select the following:: iDeneb Essential System Alternative ACPI kext 10.5.6 JMicronATA Vanilla 9.6.0 kernel (no kernel selction) Realtek R1000 Ralink RT2500-RT73-USB (for my D-Link WUA-1340) Apple SMBIOS 1.0.13 EHCI USB Sleep Enabler (noticed my D-Link Wireless Adapter didn't work with out this) PowerOff_OpenHaltRestart GenericCPUPMControl (great utility) NVInject 0.2.1 256MB (for my GeForce 7800 GT) I don't use the ICHx fix b/c iDeneb states its only for ich7/8/9. Either way I tried with and without to no avail. If you can shed any light on this so that I may be able to sleep my hackintosh, or even sleep the display with out the video not reposting, plz let me know. FYI. I use S3 for the Powermanagement setting in BIOS, AHCI for SATA controlling, and no overclock. System Specs:: Intel Q6600 Gigabyte EP45-DS3R 2GB 667Mhz Corsair RAM EVGA 7800 GT 256MB 160GB Seageate HDD USB Pioneer DVD RW Drive Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/155206-getting-sleep-to-work-on-ga-ep45-ds3r-with-ideneb-v14/ Share on other sites
