iii
Okay, the ATI Mobility X1400 instructions didn't work for me. They just made it worse. Any way to undo them?
iii
Maybe I'm just stupid, but the instructions in this thread just made my setup even worse. Now, I have a buggier display, and when I tried to get my ethernet working, it messed up my wireless. At least I now know what not to do.
juan_cl
Hey, just a heads up. With the ToH Leopard DVD, and the new EFI bootloader, you can run with two cores! No need any longer to set cpus=1 at startup! Yay!!!

No need any longer to set cpus=1 at startup! Yay!!! Just a stupid question here ... is the EFI boot loader integrated in the Leo DVD or is something you have to install separately and if the EFI is working for the dual core problem why not for the rest of the hardware in Tiger X86 like in the screenshot in the Netkas blog ?! Or i misunderstand something here ? Because i found something i don't fully understand .... http://refit.sourceforge.net/

TheGreatDeceiver
Hey, just a heads up. With the ToH Leopard DVD, and the new EFI bootloader, you can run with two cores! No need any longer to set cpus=1 at startup! Yay!!! I have a 6400 as well with core duo. if I enable both cores I get kernel panic and pc reboots, no go. tell me how you got it to work. replaced any important kexts that I'm missing maybe? I maybe further away from the goal than that anyway. when I change the kernel with the stock one, I cannot get passed a black screen, even after putting dsmos.kext into extensions. well, at least the efi emulator seems to work for now. thanks
juan_cl
I used V3 of the EFI emulator on a clean ToH Leopard install, and just replaced the SMBIOS.kext extension. Hope this helps!

iii
Can't get my Sigmatel audio to work either. Is this the right one that I should be using? http://psykopat.free.fr/apple/AppleHDA/sig...igmatel9200.txt
sj1069
for those using brazilmac's dvd, you need to replace the applehda.kext manually after using the 1.17 appleHDApatcher with the kext you may find in this thread. then repair permissions. then you have mic, subwoofer, and internal speaker. no mute though. I just picked up the e1705/9400. Do you have one core disabled because of the stuttering?Yes, I am currently disabling one core to avoid stuttering.I just picked up the e1705/9400. The EFI bootloader successfully replaced the Darwin bootloader. Other than that, nothing happens. After replacing the kernel with apple original one, the computer stops at a grey screen with apple logo, no nothing at all. For those who want to try the bootloader v4, you may follow follow the thread here: http://forum.osx86scene.com/viewtopic.php?...p;sk=t&sd=a You may find the bootloader v4 and the apple original kernel inside the post.
