cogombo
I would like to get up and going is headphones muting the speakers when plugged in. I'm using this attached driver that I fount one day in this topic, but I don't remember where. With this driver (that works in 10.5.7) you mute internal speakers when plugged in, but you must unplug-plug every time you restart to mute internal speakers. Audio mutes 100% when you press the "mute" button. Also it sounds very good. Mic not tested. No internal subwoofer in i9400. You must use only these 2 kext (you must delete any related audio kext, like aclinject or others). There's another solution that doesn't require to unplug-plug to mute int. speakers at restart, but I don't know what is it. But it doesn't matter to me, because what I want is enable both line out + subwoofer in 10.5.7. I'm still waiting for that... Very interesting...I will look into that I am also considering just picking up this little guy http://www.infotechnow.com/product_info.ph...roducts_id=5652 Supposedly it is plug and play and will support headphones etc. So I may go that route the few times I want to listen to headphones. Any thoughts on the wireless adapter?

Informations about how calculate and write states: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t&p=1034461 (post13 from roisoft) What is done for each CPU in my DSDT: Name (_PSS, Package() // Performance States { Package () { 0x7C8, 0xFDE8, 0x0A, 0x0A, 0xC22, 0xC22 }, // 2,00Ghz 12x 1,244v Package () { 0x67C, 0xD6D8, 0x0A, 0x0A, 0xA1C, 0xA1C }, // 1,66Ghz 10x 1,148v Package () { 0x530, 0xAFC8, 0x0A, 0x0A, 0x815, 0x815 }, // 1,33Ghz 8x 1,036v Package () { 0x3E4, 0x8CA0, 0x0A, 0x0A, 0x610, 0x610 }, // 1,00Ghz 6x 0,956v }) first value: processor speed in hex second: statut (your own value to identify each step) third-fourth: transistion and bus, a bit mysterious to me lasts: Control value (voltage and mutiplier) This can be clearly improved, cause order is not respected (as link above), and some steps are missing. I found voltage with coolbook, witch display cpus infos. But with the voodoopower command line, i guess you can find exact values. I've not investigate further, regarding CPU temp when appleintel... is loaded, i stick to voodoopower. Another interresting add with DSDT: it's possible to display PCI cards in system profiler by adding Name (_SUN, 0x0x) under device. i.e with Graphics card: Device (VID) { Name (_SUN, 0x01) Name (_ADR, Zero) i.e with minipcie wireless: Device (PXS2) { Name (_SUN, 0x02) Name (_ADR, Zero) }

cogombo
Bad news guys, I have a fatal issue: suddenly when I was on MAC, the system freezes and only I could see the death's spinning pizza wheel!!! I rebooted the system and in -v loading it shows a BAD FAILURE: Bsd root: disk0s2, major 14, minor 2 Disk0s2: I/O error I've tried to boot with -x or -f and nothing, tried to repair disk with disk utility (from DVD install) and fails in verification. Fortunately I can boot in XP, but if I explore my HFS partition with HFSExplorer, there are some folders that I can't access, like "system", the program says there's an error. (But fortunately I can access to my user's documents folder). I have a HD Hitachi 7200rpm 80Gb (HTS721080G9SA00). What happened? ¿How can I solve that? Is my hard disk broken? Can OSX86 break hard disks? Can fix it reinstalling OSX? in that case, how can I prevent this?

Use Acronis True image and make a backup image of the entire OSX partition (byte by byte, no compression). It may fail because of the same reason. It may work. If it works, go into XP Administrative Tools/disk management and delete that OSX partition you just backed up. Create a FAT32 or NTFS partition and format. Run checkdisk on it or some other disk tool that scans the surface of your drive. If there are bad sectors it will mark them and make them not usable (basically invisible to the system). This may however prevent you from putting the OSX image back onto the same partition using Acronis TrueImage. That would be the next step. you see there are a lot of ifs. You may want to image the entire hdd, wipe it clean, scan it (Hiren's Boot CD) and put the image back using Acronis TrueImage. good luck. is it possible to make a retail install of leopard with boot 123 usb stick on a Dell Inspiron 6400 with an intel 945GM?I can boot it but I can get keyboard and trackpad working.. where i have to put the kext? in the usb stick or in the installation volume? Sonotone has a boot 132 for Dells already in his thread. It puts the correct kexts into the Extra folder and everything is working (at least was on mine). bathlet
hey, i have a 9400 (kalyway 10.5.2, cpu: T5600, graphics: gforce 7900 with Gotoh's NVinjectGO) everything seems to work except my broadcom 3945 wlan, the touchpad and USB sticks. wlan: i looked around a bit and it seems there is no hope for 3945 =). but if anyone has a clue, let me know. touchpad: i used the post installer (Dell Laptop Post Installer v1.4.1.zip) but after the reboot i get an error that 'ApplePS2Controller.kext" wasn't installed correctly. perhaps the problem lies at the permissions, cause i dont really know how to fix them, last time i used the disk utility -> repair permissions, is that right? usb: now something weird. after the install of mac os i could use my usb stick to get some files (kexts and so on) to the os, but since this morning the stick won't work anymore. i only installed the broadcom 440x, graphics, powermanagement and touchpad kexts. mouse and keyboard are also fine with usb, only external hdds and usb sticks don't work. so what can i do? EDIT: i could fix the appleps2controller.kext stuff repairing the permissions in the terminal: cd /System/Library/Extensions chmod -R 755 NAMEofKEXT.kext chown -R 0:0 NAMEofKEXT.kext rm /System/Library/Extensions.mkext -> then reboot the usb issue seems also to be fixed. have to try that today. Am I Evil?
asked in the installation section but decided to ask in here as well since this thread mentions the laptop i have... i've got an e1705: Intel Core2Duo T7200 processor 2gb ram (currently...will upgrade before installation...but this shouldn't matter) putting in a new 320gb hdd Dell Wireless 355 bluetooth nVidia GeForce Go 7900GS Sigmatel High Definition Audio Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN Mini Card Broadcom 440x image from dell of hardware configuration: http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/8065/delld.jpg i asked about what to use for installation and this "however, since you have a core2duo processor I would try a retail (boot-132 dfe-146) method" was recommended to me... i've been doing research on that and i think i should be able to figure it out but any help out figuring out which kexts to use and things like that would be great...or not really a step-by-step but something close about how to do that with this laptop and get everything (or mostly everything lol) working would be great... thanks *the only hackintoshing i've done was on a mini9 using the runcore method (directly installed from a mac) so that was very easy...to get this working seems like it will be a lot more difficult than that hence why i'm asking for help...i will start this on wednesday and would be ecstatic if i actually got it working then...
