Dude, there is only 2 versions of Mac OS X available.... It exist from the times of when OS X first began.... Mac OS X and Mac OS X Server.... The idiot on that trulymac wordpress page only posted that one particular topic for his whole damn blog.... It means its a totally shady business rumor with no reliable source.... Plus anyone with decent photoshop skills can replicate the same image...

The guy is obviously trying to buy more viewers by making apple look like microsoft and the 6 expensive flavors of windows... In the ADC builds, there are only 2 version, OS X and server and we will see likewise only 2 flavors at point of release.... though i speculate that the price of snow leopard will be cheaper than that of leopard...

Well, there's going to be

- Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard

- Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Family Pack

- Mac OS X 10.6 Server 10-Client

- Mac OS X 10.6 Server Unlimited Client

- Mac OS X 10.6 Server Upgrade 10-Client to Unlimited Client

plus the "Mac Box Set" and "Mac Box Set Family Pack".

Faaaaaaake!

Apple and industry pundits routinely make fun of redmond's 'a differrent windows for each day of the week' customer confusion strategy. There is no way they'd do this.

If they did though:

'Choose your favorite Snow Leopard?' As if! They never present customers with any advertising which is confusing, eg they don't make a poster "Choose your handheld: iPod Touch or iPhone"

DVD Covers? Really? The photoshop artist could have atleast photoshoped his design over any current shipping optical media based package, iLife, Leopard, iWork etc Apple never use DVD covers.

ok seriously for those who think this wont happen it will. Remember when everyone said the 5 usb mini mac was fake because of the image fragments. People we like 5 usb's not gonna happen it's suck a odd number and stupid. 3 versions of OSX... why? because Bill Gates is involved. and Bill gates likes to screw people, deep and hard. and what does it matter just get the Pro version, I am guessing Home and Pro and Server will differ with included apps. Maybe Pro comes with iLife and iWork, and it lets you pick Logic or Final Cut Express, it may just be extra apps included. Maybe you need pro to support RAID, it could be the smallest thing but would make sense. Even if it doesn't release exactly like the picture you never know, lol. I say whatever I am going to wait at least a year before I dig into the snow. I remember when Leopard first came out, lot's and lots of software returns at GC. There will be glitches up the ass and if you edit video or audio you will definitely see them. So I suggest when it does come out you get an illegal version and test it in VMWare or parallels. and make the transition when people say it's flawless or you feel your virtual version is flawless. But hey if you don't edit audio or video, get it when it comes out, we need test dummies and you have nothing to lose, where we have clients.

in a nut shell, despite the flaws of the picture, just expect it, and if this is what you fear in OS issues, you shouldn't be upgrading :-) thank you

Only the licence file change between these versions :D

- Mac OS X 10.6 Server 10-Client

- Mac OS X 10.6 Server Unlimited Client

- Mac OS X 10.6 Server Upgrade 10-Client to Unlimited Client

Again, the only difference between these versions is the number of concurrently connected clients.

You can still compare to the

(choose your language among the 11 available ones) x (32bits or 64bits) x (6 versions for Windows 7 and 10 for Windows server ) x (OEM, upgrade, retail)

=> 1056 versions for Windows
