macprodan
are there any defragers for OS X that can do it within the OS.
Sabr
A quick search in google pulls this up: http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/21506 EDIT: Ooops, maybe not... The above link is an updater to the actual program... To get the actual app, you will have to buy it here: http://www.speedtools.com/ Sorry! declan
Doesn't OS X defrag itself in the background, i am sure that was one of the features i read about somewhere. Well to some extent, http://www.macattorney.com/ts.html

A Nonny Moose
OS X does what's called "prebinding" where it throws the parts of a program together should they get separated. It isn't defragmenting, but it's pretty close. With that being said, OS X doesn't need defragmented nearly as often as Windows does (2 per year on Mac). I read somewhere that mac os X can defragment on the fly files that are smaller than 30 MB there was test that show there is no need do make defragmentation on the mac
