I just released a new version of InSight Desktop Search(version 1.5.0.8) and would seriously want you guys to be the first to review it!! Actually its my attempt to get Spotlight style search for Windows...thats the whole idea behind it!! Its not a copy!! has loads for features like Preview, sub search etc that make it a lot different that spotlight!!! It has not got metadata search..so is seriously no where compared to Spotlight..but definately inspired from it. key features include:- Dynamic listing of results while performing a search. Quick Preview that provides information about the content of the files.(like id3 information in case of mp3 files,Video codec etc) Fast drive indexing speeds.(takes about 2-3 minutes to index a drive with 144000 files) A sub search that allows one to filter out the search results as per his needs. Automatically updates the indexes whenever a file or a folder is created,moved or deleted. So please take out a little time...and do try out InSight Desktop Search... The problem is due to the directx dll files included with InSight Setup... Try deleting them from "Program Files\InSight" folder and it should work!!... This is one problem we had overlooked...They are needed for systems with XP installed... could u please try it for me!!...Thanks.!! Will let you know how the Application works for me.
