Danyla2k Posted August 30, 2005 Share Posted August 30, 2005 I have the Via chipset (elite group motherboard) with Pentium 4.I see boot menu but when I choose tiger x86 its back to boot menu again and no any load (-x doesnt help).I have the same problem on my pentium 3 computer.(I use hrddisk image... tiger-x86.tar.bz2(tiger-x86-flat.img)...of mac os and Winhex to instal it on 20 gb hrddisk.) setec Posted August 31, 2005 Share Posted August 31, 2005 Your Pentium 4 should have SSE2 and may have SSE3, however, go to http://www.osxonpc.com/ Look for CPU-Z in step 1, download that program in Windows and run it. It will show you if your CPU has SSE2 and/or SSE3. Also, how are you putting the image on. Are you using the DD command? Also, your saying that you can get to the Darwin menu where you can choose to boot tiger-x86 and also type in commands? If -x won't work, try -v to see where it locks up. Also, does -s work to get you to some type of command line? devorama Posted September 1, 2005 Share Posted September 1, 2005 This happened to me when I was trying to use a "Graphics Mode" it didn't like. Try to use "?video" at the boot prompt for a list of video modes, and use one of those. Might help. If you can boot with -s into text only, it's likely a video issue.
