HowDoYouDeleteAccountHere?
I installed fresh OS X (10.5.4 retail, updated it to 10.5.6 via software update), installed all needed kexts and everything worked great. After only one day of use, sound suddenly became overgained (so much that I need to turn down volume to 1-5%, and it's still loud, but not distorted anymore, atleast) and only right channel works. Same is for headphones channel (sound is overgained/distorted and only right channel works). I followed this procedure for installing audio kexts (from this thread): - removed original AppleHDA.kext from /System/Library/Extensions/ - installed ALC660_660VD.mpkg (the one with Wiwi fix) - repaired permissions - rebooted - sound works, headphones works, no mute (but who cares for that), input works Why is this happening? Am I wrong somewhere? Is there any other driver to try out? Do I have to do something with original HDAEnabler.kext? What about kexts in /Extra/Extensions/ for PCIEFI v9? Do I have to copy anything there (AppleHDA.kext or HDAEnabler.kext)? Btw, my specs are: Asus X51L, GL960 + ICH8, audio device ID: 0x10431783. Thanks for reading this and (I hope so) for helping me.
