Same problem on 10.5.6 =(

Mouse and keyboard works, but no flash drives detection...

Hey ant_Ti, did u have 10.5.5? if yes, tell me if USB worked and which version u had (iDeneb, iATKOS, ...). I'm thinking to use the previous if it works. Because i have been looking for support but one give me a solution.

TEMP SOLUTION, maybe it helps

try to delete/backup AppleHPET.kext

macita i found a AppleHPET.kext on /System/Library/Extensions

So, to delete it, i have to move it to trash and confirm permissions only?

If i delete this kext, it will not damage my OSx86?

I get a solution on HMBT forum, told me to install a new system.kext! So i did not try yet... because it is the kernel. So i want to know with kernel u recommend me. now i'm using Voodoo 9.5.0

What I meant to write was that after I installed Kalway I had the same issue. I just installed a USB patch/fix from another install disk- 10.5.5 iAtkos, which worked.

After fiddling around in the bios settings I noticed usb externals storage hard drives/memory sticks stopped being recognized but keyboard and mouse were okay.

USB ext storage wouldn't load onto the desktop even if Apple system profiler noticed them

The Bios setting in the boot up order.

I had selected Hard disk, cd rom and then usb something (possibly usb fdd)

if I had that usb enabled, then the usb externals would not load onto the desktop.

If I had usb disabled in the boot order then the usb external would load onto the desktop.

But I´m new to this type of thing so that just might be a blatantly obvious piece of information.

I´m (sort of) running Kalway 10.5.2 on a ep45 d3lr MB
