fallbrooks13
Installation is achieved, thanks. I have triple channel memory 6GB total ok, but not the third channel? Does not play when you connect the pendrive, firewire LaCie extrem. Property system if it detects, but does not play for. In ideneb I have no problems. I couldnt get a usb ethernet adapter to work either. It showed up in system profiler just like yours does but wont configure. I was using Linksys USB300M ... It is a common AX88772 chip which works fine on our apple machines. Do you have to renew DHCP lease in network prefs often? I do. seems weird too. Here is a link to more info on the chip. http://www.asix.com.tw/products.php?op=pIt...temID=97;71;101 Also... How is your front serial bus displayed at 1.33Ghz? Mine says 533Mhz. I cant seem to get to the bottom of this.
neils
Retail is up and running ! I repeat up and running ! Finally ! I had to delete the dsdt.anl file, it caused a bootloop again. I'm using the voodoo kernel at the moment. I really want to run the 9.6.3 kernel though, and I would like to run Vista X64 virtualized. The weird thing is I had to restart my PC like 5 times before it finally booted. Now I can boot like a 100 times in a row without problems at all ! As some people might know it was a real struggle for me to get a retail install to boot. I really think it didn' t work at first because I was installing from my older Pentium D hackintosh. After installing Kalyway on my i7 system it only took me a couple of hours. Man, I tried like 10 distro's, but I strongly advice everyone to use Kalyway with the Kabyl 64 bit kernel. After that's installed, DD's script is like a gift from heaven to get a nice and shiny retail install ! Thanks DD for all your help. I'm really happy it's finally working. The good thing is that I've learned a lot about tweaking a retail install. That might be handy for future releases. (Snow Leopard anyone ?) Many thanks to all people who tried to help me. I couldn't have done this without you guys. One question. In Wolfies script (which I still have somehere on my Pentium D harddisk) I came across efi-strings for a Geforce GTS-320. I also have a GTS-320. Everything on my install is working, I only need to install a string for my videocard. Can I just install this string using OSX-Tools ? Thanks again guys. PS, MAJ, you are the man. You are doing great things for the OSX community. Special thanks to you !

neils
Sorry. It's a Geforce 8800 GTS 320 MB. I didn't install any videodriver yet. I don't want to mess up my install. On my old Hacintosh I used nvinstaller. But I assume 10.5.6 natively supports my card ?
Asterra
Well, as I understand it, you should have support for anything that isn't as recent as the ATI 4000 series (which aren't that recent, truth be told). This may not mean much, though. I mean, technically you should also have support for ethernet, yet that's probably the #3 thing people seem to have difficulty getting to work under OSX (right after sound and video). In my own case, I performed over 30 separate installs in an effort to force my 4870 to function fully, and never managed to achieve it. Good luck. bazilato
Thank you for your supportI managed to get a very nice and clean about mac as well as DDR3 using ideneb v1,4 Smbios.kext DDR3 1333 damn it was painfull before finding the solution One last thing I need to resolve When I put on Bios Onboard SATA/IDE = AHCI I have Kernel Panic and no KP when I set it on IDE veryyyy strange don't know what is happening ... However when I use RAID Mode= AHCI - Onboard SATA/IDE= IDE or DISABLE I boot on MAC I don't understand because I correctly installed AppleAHCIPort, ... Ok I fixed the problem by installing IPC 10.5.6 instead of Ideneb v1,4 Now AHCI work in both mode and all Disk are detected... However one problem is still making me crazy I have USB mount problem I try using Chameleon 2 Fix as well as Slice fix but still the same I need to restart computer to be able to see my USB mounted No one has an idea ? leftpelvis
Ok update from my previous post on the other page. I have installed OS X retail using ver 3.4 Script from Kalyway install. I can load into OS X fine but it is as if none of the .Kexts have installed or working :\ In system profiler under each section i get - Memory - There was an error while gathering this info Network - No info found Graphics - Need to fiddle with this, I am running a 8800 Ultra and have not got round to looking at this as having a network is much more beneficial at the moment Audio - Intel High Def audio (looks to be working) Serial ATA - Intel ICH10R AHCI (appears to be working) Cheers. Clavieramolette
After reading and reading i'm gonna finally add my post a lot, i'm here to share, find a solution and maybe help someone with the same motherboard and Graphic card .... Asus P6T6, intel i7 920, 6x2gb 1600Mhz OCZ, EVGA 8800GT, GPU Antec 480w, WD 400gb Windows Vista ultimate 64bit, Hitachi 300gb Iatkos 10.5.5, WD 500gb OSX 10.5.6 retail, I managed to instal iAtkos 10.5.5, and then a retail on another HD of a RETAIL Leopard 10.5.6 via Digital Dreamer EFI RUN_Patcher 3.4 and Chameleon v2.0... The only way to install without Kernel panic was to select the Kernel 9.2 voodoo Speedstep for both DISTRO and RETAIL... I'm sure the Kernel 9.6 or 9.6.3 or 9.7.0_9j56 would solve my prblem, but all i got is KERNEL PANIC !!!! My issues on both OS, Retail and iAtkos are : - Really slow boot, about 7 to 10 mn ( i think , because of voodood 9.2 ) - no way to recognize 8 core with HT, not even 4, only 1 core or no boot....!!! - i tryed to apply the DSDT patch manualy and via Digital Dreamer Patch 3.4 without success - Everythings working on iAtkos but the Hyper trheading (only 1core) - On retail, i have no usb because of my lack of kext on Retail install (i can fix this later) If anybody can help me to figure this out.... thanks a lot
