It just works well (detected at system preferences) with Leopard 10.5.1 ToH on a HP zd7170 notebook

but... It does not appear battery icon on desktop bar :(

EDIT: So I used SlimBatteryMonitor that works well...

Works for me on my HP 6710b...

But: I can't change the energy scheme :(

So I have normal or own settings. But can't switch or get anything to work.

So my battery lifetime is around 2 hrs :D

And I'd like to use get the screen darker...

What kind of chipset do you have?

I've got working pcmcia with ricoh chipset, if you get "startig failed" you need to change iopccard kext, if you get "failed to configure your machine", your driver is ok but you have to change mem & i/o address space and machine name on iopccard plist.

Anyone runnig this bundle with vanilla kexts(e.g. acpiplatform)? This one doesn't work no more....or is there a new (patched) one?

No battery indicator yet

I don't think it works. I've tested with different combination without success. Currently I'm settled with vanilla kernel and tiger version of ACPIPlatform. I can get battery indicator and it can auto switch between Normal and Custom mode. That's good enough for me.

Works for me after installing of SlimBatteryMonitor Leo starts to show the battery indicator too :P

Im using Kalyway Leo 10.5.1 on a Cebop Hel 750

but i can't change the energy theme it's alltime normal :D

EDIT: it don't update the battery percentage automatically in leo and SlimBatteryMonitor.... i need to change to show "Icon Only" and then back to "Percentage" to see my actual battery status (but from 100% to 90% it works automatically  )

it don't calculate the time

any ideas?

Same with non-vanilla Kaly 10.5.1 - no love.

Well, I think I have the solution.

You need

- iatkos 1.0i DVD OR AppleACPIPlatform driver from this DVD.

- PowerManagement package which is on this topic.

So, now, Let's Go

1st)

BACKUP /System/Library/Extensions/AppleACPIPlatform.kext

BACKUP /System/Library/SystemConfiguration/PowerManagement.bundle

2nd)

COPY the iAtkos AppleACPIPlatform to /System/Library/Extensions/ - override existing file

COPY the PowerManagement from this topic to /System/Library/SystemConfiguration/ - override existing file

3rd)

REMOVE /System/Library/Extensions.mkext

4th)

REBOOT

If it fails, or, kernel panic, start with -s command and restore the original files

I have joined the iatkos AppleACPIPlatform :D
