Technobob
It's simple to take a screenshot Alt+Shift+3 for a full screenshot and Alt+Shift+4 for selected screenshot The screenshots are automatically saved to the desktop Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14442-how-to-take-screenshots/#findComment-92276 Share on other sites
Roger Mudd
I'm not ashamed to admit that I was having problems with this as well tonight. It took me about an hour to figure out that the "Command" key was mapped to the "Windows" key on my PC keyboard (no laughing please). Roger Mudd
isnt it actualy mapped to the alt key? I didnt know the windows key worked aswell Possibly for the rest of the world but apparently not for me ;-) I believe "ALT" is mapped to option for me. I don't know how a Mac keyboard is layed out. Does it even have a "CTRL" key? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14442-how-to-take-screenshots/#findComment-92524 Share on other sites

Mebster
Not that I need to really know but just to expand the discussion does the shortcut work if there is an error during the displaying of the codes (when you use -v)? Because I think that’s when you're more likely to need to use the screen shots than need it in an error when OSX has loaded. Also just in case you can, how on earth can you then view the image given that OSX won't load?
