whodat
hi pateras, in your list above, it looks like you're saying that you have enabled two-finger scrolling on your compaq mini 700el. if this is correct, can you tell me how you did this? i have the hp mini 1000 (model 1035NR), which is basically the same as your computer. i have tried the instructions found in this forum for enabling two-finger scrolling using the ALPS driver, but i end up with an overly-sensitive cursor and no two-finger scrolling. i am hoping that my results are from using a driver that has been configured for another notebook and that there is some combination of trackpad settings that will enable the two-finger scrolling on mine. it would be great if you or someone else has figured out a way to make this work on our netbooks! anyhow, thanks for keep everyone posted on your progress! For the: update 10/01/2009 to install macosx 10.5.5, which Kext or set did you use to fix the video resolution? Do I have to use EFI Studio, can Kext Helper be used? waanz
Followed a mix of different guides and now got leo 10.5.6 working on my Compaq mini 700 EF. Few questions: - what's the exact status of the sound? Saw some progress today but not sure what to do with it - did you get ethernet working? mine is recognized under network preferences but always shows "unplugged" - the battery keeps alerting me all the time from 70% downwards, any idea? - did anyone get the side scroll work on the trackpad ? ole2
Few questions: - what's the exact status of the sound? Saw some progress today but not sure what to do with it no, sound isn't working and even under linux, people are having issues with this codec I've seen poolIRQ recommendation as well as noACPI, which means, sound chip interrupt handling is non usual. and it's confirmed on some linux forum, working configuration require to enable MSI: My current setup: * Ubuntu 8.10 - kernel 2.6.27-7-generic * System fully up-to-date, all updates installed * Standard ALSA drivers * Added options snd-hda-intel enable_msi=1 to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base * No additional kernel options (like pci=noacpi) - did you get ethernet working? mine is recognized under network preferences but always shows "unplugged" no, ethernet isn't working it's tripple ring buffers instead of regular dual ring makes driver enormous complex and driver just not finished yet ask Slice for more details on this Marvell - the battery keeps alerting me all the time from 70% downwards, any idea? mine isn't alerting on 70%, but I'm not using 10.5.6, instead just 10.5.5, cause lot's of people complain about 10.5.6 is defective even for original macs. - did anyone get the side scroll work on the trackpad ? I'm not sure this feature is macosx originated, it's probably Synaptics driver did that "side scroll" and macbooks have no Synaptics relations so their multitouch pads behave differently Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/142602-how-to-install-leo-1055-to-compaq-mini-700el-hp-mini-1000/#findComment-1089386 Share on other sites

ole2
people from another forum here made utility changing audio configuration manually. utility doesn't working yet for mini 700, as they need to know our configuration (not just memory address for the card) but Reggie_SE addressing to sound card PCI registers may help to find out solution, read here on how to experiment: all we need now is to find out, which verb command belongs to mini 700 speaker and/or headset Pin Complex. as you may notice already, 10.5.6 is a very very much defective update. it's immediately killed bluetooth for both my ...toshes. 10.5.6 also non fixable for sleep due to USB EHCI changes. HPET is failing under 10.5.6 even with DSDT patches installed. power button is not working (not sensed) under 10.5.6 neither. until 10.5.7 will come out, I'd recommend everybody using mini 700 to stay with 10.5.5 (iDeneb v1.3 based for example) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/142602-how-to-install-leo-1055-to-compaq-mini-700el-hp-mini-1000/#findComment-1102999 Share on other sites

pateras
Hi!i have posted the Universal installer and the DSDTPatcherGUI_1.0 that i use,i suggest that you read the 12/03/09 update, from my point of view i would install all the kext again chud and the audio kext that i posted today.i don't now how it effects the system,it does not activate sound but it stables everything else(you have to install it before the others) bth is working OTB (i use mighty mouse) and it does not give me any problems. I have the compaq mini 700EL,they are the same thing with hp 1000 except the ssd disk.i have tried all this on a hp tam edition to and everything works. ole2
hi ole2,this is not true....: as you may notice already, 10.5.6 is a very very much defective update. it's immediately killed bluetooth for both my ...toshes. 10.5.6 also non fixable for sleep due to USB EHCI changes. I confirm, Pateras statements: - after applying 10.5.6 offline update (important! online is hanging and not finishing well) - fixing keyboard PS2 driver (by the way, Pateras needs to include it into his files list) - applying all kexts recommended by Pateras system become useful one (except audio of cource). what is not fixed yet: - sound of cource, whole idea about macosx is clear and nice sound everywhere - after wakeup, flash card error coming up "device removal!", meaning usb drive was ejected without pressing eject icon - NIC MAC address reading from EEPROM or from DSDT at least - 3G modem needs to be activated (if present) - not clear if camera brightness level is adjustable at all, if yet, would be great to have - fan keeps running all the time, not sure if something is possible to do with it... anyway, thank you, Pateras, very much for your research.
