Nicholaslee
Can you try booting into your other partition, copy the working AppleHDA.kext over, and then repair permissions on the crashing partition and see if that will boot? Yea, Thanks. I have it booting again. If I use your applehda and patch it with my codec dump, will everything still work (Mute, autoswitch, etc.)? talisman
It just keeps saving crash reports over and over, doesn't really panic or freeze. Unclean shutdown rarely causes such a problem as we all have to do that all the time. It seems more like a permissions issue Can you in the single user mode with a -s?? If you can then I would suggest that you remove the AppleHDA.kext from both your mac installations. The repair permissions with a "diskutil repairPermissions /" If you cannot boot into the single user mode then boot with the installation CD and then use the terminal to delete the kexts and then use disk utils to repair permission on both installations. If after that you can boot into mac then install the kext using "Kext Helper" where you have far less chances to make mistakes and then repair permissions. Things should work fine after that. Sound works out of both headphone jacks upon boot but nothing out of the internal speakers even after sleep. Why is the M1330 Audio such a hard nut to crack??? SupSeb
thank you so much!!! :-) after 5th january update my sound is working finally before that i patched with apple hda patcher and an self created dump-file - it had the same data into it, as the one which was posted here - still didn't work... internal mic doesnt work yet (also shutdown and restart bugs - which shouldn't have to have anything to do with audio) also i'm quite new to osx86. anyway thanks a lot - you brought me in position to almost have a working system running! widescreen169
Weird, using the stable kext for the m1530, audio is good, switching as well but i have no line-in, weird. My bios says I have a Sigmatel 9205 but everyone else says they have a 9228 and i'm really confused. In my sound options input tab I have an option for internal mic (which doesn't work) and and Unknown...hm...any ideas? Thanks

Make sure in your sys pref has internal mic highlighted in the input section. We do have a 9228 on the M1530. The BIOS is incorrect. It shows me 9205 too. donkey
Tested: AppleHDA.kext.M1530.Allports Results **Bios says that the internal audio device is 9205 (more info available upon request)** / This kext works with both audio out, the first audio port has lower amplification than the second one. gbonilla
I think I'm reaching the conclusion that you have to utilize the DspFuncLib.kext located in the new AppleHDA.kexts to not only make the Mics work but to also get the sliders on any mic. As you can tell from the kext posted in The Kings post he references to the DSP lib in his layouts under mic to get his mics working. I think that's what has to be done for the M1530 and M1330. The only problem is getting it working just as he did. I was trying last night but I didn't have too much time to mess around. Macgirl I know you have gotten the FixKexts to work, I got them going last night but I can't seem to load them when I put them in a .kext that resembles The Kings. I think if the above is the case we will have the internal mic going for this in no time. Talisman, yes I did use 7 27 19. I used that because the ubuntu patch I post above has lead me to believe that this is the correct path. I wish I could help more but I can't test my own kexts so bear with me here. We'll get you guys Internal Mic with the Slider
Urthwhyte
gbonilla, The fact that you're are willing to help at all is wonderful, no pressure at all on the speed at which stuff is being tested. Perhaps we can set up a time and date for you, macgirl, wingunr21, Talisman, and I to brainstorm and do some marathon kext testing if we want it done a bit sonner, or otherwise just continue as we have been and perhaps hope for the king to chime in.
