amiga_forever
Update to 10.4.6 successful Now I update to 10.4.6 with maxxuss patch, All things work except USB. I re-install IOUSBFamily.kext from 10.4.3 and USB works Hi, this is my first login with OsX86 10.4.5. Finally i have completed configuration of OsX86 on my AMD64 system. My configuration is: -MB: ASUS A8V Deluxe -CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3700+ (SSE3) -RAM: 2 GB DualChannel -HD1: 80 GB ATA (works native and automatic dual boot config. with Win.XP) -HD2: 160 GB SATA (work native, but not recognized during Install) -Graphic Card: ATI X700 AGP 256MB (works with ATI9700 kext and binary modification) -DVD RW: Pioneer DVR-110D (works native) -Audio: Onboard 8 channel (works native, but only left channel) -LAN Adapter: Realtek 8139 (works native) (Marvel Yukon onboard not work) -Keyboard: Apple Pro Keyboard USB (works native) -Mouse: Microsoft Comfort Optical Mouse USB (works native) Other device that work: -Printer: HP All in One 2575 Ethernet (works native) -HD USB (works native) -Bluetooth Digicom (works native) -Key USB (works native) -Card Reader USB: (works native) The system after configuration is WONDERFUL !!! Any problem with: -USB on board (fixed by IOUSBFamily.kext 10.4.3) Now USB works very well also in HISPEED (480mbs) Important: BIOS SETTING: USB LEGACY: DISABLE -Graphic Card: ATI X700 AGP 256MB (fixed by mod. ATIRadeon9700.kext and binary) Now it works with QE/CI enabled -LAN Onboard: useless attempt (Onboard Marvel Yukon 8001 not work) When I plug-in PCI Realtek 8139 based LAN card, it was recognized and works native) -AUDIO: Only left channel FOR LAST BUT NOT THE LAST I speak to APPLE SPY who read this tread: I’m not hacker and I do not want to do a copyright violation, AND When Mac OsX86 will be released for custom PC-Intel, THEN I WILL BUY IT By this I propose to start a petition for APPLE, so They decide to sell their software without hardware. Tanks to you and sorry for my english (I’m Italian) Edited April 10, 2006 by amiga_forever Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14114-osx86-finally-all-works/ Share on other sites

I tried first to change resolution at BOOT and when I was satisfied, I change in com.apple.Boot.plist I advice you to try step by step. Example, when you boot, insert: "Graphics Mode"="1280x1024x16" and try if it works Later you may try other configuration and when you find what you like, you may put it in config file I advice to try with 16 bit, because graphics is faster then 32 bit bye Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14114-osx86-finally-all-works/#findComment-94581 Share on other sites

Tanks to you and sorry for my english (I’m Italian) Very well said! Maybe they could sell motherboards or barebones bundled with OS X and a list of compatible hardware. I don't see how this would be that different than selling Minis. And BTW, I am Italian too. I wish we could get in touch Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/14114-osx86-finally-all-works/#findComment-94695 Share on other sites
