SoberEmu
Hello, I was planning on trying to install OSx86 on a second hard drive, using the method posted here: http://www.tech-recipes.com/apple_mac_tips964.html. My question is: Does it matter what file system I format the second hard drive to (either FAT32 or NTFS) before installing OSX, or does dd.exe make the prior formatting of the drive irrelevant? Thanks for your time. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/1411-file-system-question/ Share on other sites
Jake
If you use dd at the drive level, it'll write over everything, including the parition table, so it isn't worth partitioning much less making filesystems.
