I want to ask people their reason to dual boot, mainly XP, is your main reason games or some software not available for os x or just cos you can.

I rebuilt my pc to run os x and dump xp, though i still have a dedicated MCE box under tv, can't fault ms their.

I killed my ibook, and now await a tower replacement from apple, till then my hackintosh will do, i have xbox and x360 for games. I know when i get a new mac the last thing i, and this is just me, is soil it with windows.

Disclaimer. This is just a personal few, no offense is meant, no per... o bugger it, i have had enough of windows, used win 1 to xp they all $$£@$.. :)

Seriously why do YOU want dual boot?

Well, when I get a MacBook Pro, I'll want to dual boot just so that I can run those few odd programs that don't have a Mac version. There are also a few apps I need for my job that I'll need to keep around.

And, at this point, to have a native version of Photoshop, etc. That reason will diminish over time, though.

i might consider getting an intel mac mini when i get my tax return.. i plan to dual boot with xp mce. mce just because.. xp because i go to multimedia rich sites that use flash and flash 8 plugin isn't up to par on the mac in my opinion. multiple flash swf's running at the same time hogs cpu/memory on osx.. it doesn't do that on my mac quite well. i current have a g4 mini.. and suffers the same fate at the displays at the apple store..

I need to dual boot due to the following MS apps that I need to use in my daily work:

- Virtual PC (come on Microsoft, update the current version to be 'Universal')

- InfoPath

- DRM (Digital Rights Management - no support in Office Mac yet)

Once these 3 items are taken care of, XP is gone!
