mitchellkza
Another great kext tool, thank you for your contributions. I ran this and it detects my processor correctly but I still have issues with Power Management, will see after a reboot if this changed anything or not. ArikOnFire
Thanks for this awesome utility. Is there any plans for you of adding kexts to /Library/Extensions rather than /System/Library/Extensions for 10.11+?
DMCrimson
No longer seems to be able to add "nvda_drv=1" into boot args - I've edited KU_Config.plist correspondingly (-v, nvda_drv=1 and kext-dev-mode=1 enabled "YES", though the last one might no longer be needed.) Only -v gets applied.

"kext-dev-mode=1" key can be added only for MAC OS X "Yosemite".
Arslan2012
Bug report(minor): I accidentally put my LPCSensors.kext into my /L/E folder. LPCSensors.kext required FakeSMC.kext as a dependency. Which is located in my Clover folder. kextcache command failed while rebuilding cache because it couldn't find dependency of LPCSensors.kext. And my system cache became invaild. Kext Utility, however, says All done ... have fun.

Don't install it separately.
RehabMan
Hi, Arslan2012. LPCSensors.kext should be placed in the directory FakeSMC.kext/Contents/PlugIns/. Don't install it separately. It actually does not matter. Any kext placed in /S/L/E/SomeKext.kext/Contents/Plugins is the same as placing directly in /S/L/E.

Most likely KU showed this message: Updating the system cache files ............................................................. False -- Timeout 120 sec. -- Unknown error -- Syncing disk cache ... RehabMan
In this case FakeSMC.kext should be placed in /S/L/E/ too. FakeSMC.kext and/or its plugins can be placed in /S/L/E or /L/E with later versions of macOS/OS X. The result is the same. And the result is the same whether kexts are in the root of /S/L/E or /L/E or in a PlugIns directory of another kext.
