Gdfath3r
I've got strange things going on, and I haven't found another soul out there with the same problem as me... I just bought a Radeon x1600 to get QE and CI to work, and they do, but my xBench scores are awful in the Quartz Graphics Test section: Results 52.25 System Info Xbench Version 1.2 System Version 10.4.5 (8G1454) Physical RAM 1024 MB Model ADP2,1 Drive Type WDC WD1600JB-00GVA0 CPU Test 73.56 GCD Loop 128.37 6.77 Mops/sec Floating Point Basic 79.80 1.90 Gflop/sec vecLib FFT 45.91 1.51 Gflop/sec Floating Point Library 81.47 14.19 Mops/sec Thread Test 74.75 Computation 53.69 1.09 Mops/sec, 4 threads Lock Contention 123.02 5.29 Mlocks/sec, 4 threads Memory Test 82.67 System 84.50 Allocate 171.41 629.47 Kalloc/sec Fill 81.91 3982.52 MB/sec Copy 57.27 1182.90 MB/sec Stream 80.93 Copy 77.42 1599.03 MB/sec Scale 77.28 1596.48 MB/sec Add 84.84 1807.18 MB/sec Triad 84.87 1815.50 MB/sec Quartz Graphics Test 27.39 Line 31.08 2.07 Klines/sec [50% alpha] Rectangle 13.59 4.06 Krects/sec [50% alpha] Circle 20.82 1.70 Kcircles/sec [50% alpha] Bezier 71.97 1.82 Kbeziers/sec [50% alpha] Text 67.28 4.21 Kchars/sec OpenGL Graphics Test 63.48 Spinning Squares 63.48 80.53 frames/sec User Interface Test 50.54 Elements 50.54 231.96 refresh/sec Disk Test 43.78 Sequential 60.09 Uncached Write 56.67 34.79 MB/sec [4K blocks] Uncached Write 54.91 31.07 MB/sec [256K blocks] Uncached Read 69.97 20.48 MB/sec [4K blocks] Uncached Read 60.94 30.63 MB/sec [256K blocks] Random 34.43 Uncached Write 13.33 1.41 MB/sec [4K blocks] Uncached Write 51.64 16.53 MB/sec [256K blocks] Uncached Read 87.71 0.62 MB/sec [4K blocks] Uncached Read 96.40 17.89 MB/sec [256K blocks] Even the User Interface Test should be higher than that, my Powerbook G4 Titanium whips that! Anyone know what's wrong? 1. Try to get lower memory latencyes 2. Try to OC your system 3. Try to tune your system with permission repairs and updating prebinding 4. Your hard drive is pretty slow..get a big cache hardrive 5. Do a BorisBadenov methode trick 6. turn off beamsync
