Hello all!!

 

After reading the Xbench scores here, I've found out that my laptop is not as bad as I thought!!!! Its faster than a g4 powerbook!

 

 

 

XBENCH SCORE = 51.21

 

Dell inspiron 8600

512 mb RAM

1.4 Ghz Centrino Pentium M

Nvidia GeForce go5200 64mb

60 GB hard disk (MacOSx 10.4.6 & Suse linux 10.1)

 

I'm desperately waiting for a new macvidia driver with CI and Quartz extreme support

 

(and powermanagement auto turn off monitor, anyone here with a solution?)

AMD 64 winchester core 939 3500+

80 GB IDE (osx install)

250GB Sata(couldn't install on this)

77.59

 

It took me 3weeks to actually get it installed, I reinstalled windows 5 times, but I got there yesterday!!!

I already posted this on another topic but here it goes anyway

 

Pentium D 930 (woot)

MSI 945G Neo

1GB DDR2-533 (single stick)

GMA950 running with 64-bit DDR2-533 memory (128MBs of it). Others might check if any performance is gained using dual channel memory based on my score.

160GB sata HDD 7200rpm

 

result : 77.27

 

most impressed about thread test : 170.43

Not that satisfied with the results. I have semjazas 10.4.7 update, and the macvidia 1.0.7 driver installed. Does the current screen resolution have any effect on the results?

 

Anybody know why I only get 33.35 on the "Disk Test"? Thought my seagate S-ATA disk would be pretty good...

My rig is pretty fast dont know why other peole have lower scores. On thing though, if you have tough luck and have X800GTO there is help available to get CI and QE. Just flash the card with X800GT firmware and you're set to go. I can play Doom3 and Quake4 without a problem.

thats really slow I have a 160gb barracuda as well and i got 108 on disk test

63 is heaven compared to mine....

 

I got a 27!!!!27!!!!! I have to get beamsync, and other {censored} off to get good performance still!!!!!Doesn't help that the intel chip inside my computer i utter {censored}.

Is osx the only os on your computer, or are you dual-booting etc? I am dual booting xp and osx, and my osx partition is 15gb. I dont know if that affects the scores in any way?

Anyone know what's wrong?

1. Try to get lower memory latencyes

2. Try to OC your system

3. Try to tune your system with permission repairs and updating prebinding

4. Your hard drive is pretty slow..get a big cache hardrive

5. Do a BorisBadenov methode trick

6. turn off beamsync
