gaspain
new Voodoo kernel released: http://code.google.com/p/xnu-dev/ Other Kernel Features (slightly outdated info) Supports sleep/resume as well as SpeedStep on most systems (use in conjunction with the SpeedStep kext) Massively improved SSE3 Emulation layer, up to 3 times faster and fully multithread-capable (thanks Turbo) Real-time clock fix for SSE2 users (no system slowdown/stutter when speedstep is on, supports less than 1 GHz cpu speeds) On-the-fly cpuid opcode patching for AMD support (boot retail on AMD!) Support for 64bit on AMD Black-listing of problematic kernel extensions More secure: Execute-Disable (XD/NX) is turned on by default for supported systems HPET enabled on supported systems, cleaner boot-up code Legacy Vmware support by using busratio= bootflag. Source-code is open under APSL. (Not New BSD!)
mcdull
I try to put osx on my eeepc 900.. which is basically the same as 701. But I found it very difficult to install. SDHC does not work in most of the case, the installer will not install on that drive (nor another SDHC card reader) I personally prefer the light weight tiger 10.4.11 but seems the timing issue does not fixed yet. I am lacking a portable USB drive for the OSX installation and it would be better if there are any GOOD usb flash that is suitbale for HFS+ volume. In the GMA900NOPAPERCLIP.zip file there are two kext files so i know how to install them. What do I do with the plugin and the 2 bundle files? Next quesiton I installed everything on a usb external disk and wifi works... but when i migrated my OS onto a SDHC card wifi doesnt seem to work.. it doesnt make sense. Any thoughts what might change? (btw so far the SDHC card speeds are ok) cheers, Mike.

mikeolsen69
be sure to take the swap file off the SD card as far as the wifi not working, thats pretty strange... thanks for the reply. Good suggestion about swap i will do that in a few mins. As for wifi I just came back from a cafe where for fun i decided to try my eee pc as i had it in my bag and the wifi worked again. So I am guessing it is just the fact that some times i need to reboot it a few times to get it working. Not sure how battery life will go using the SD card yet. I will find out in the next day or two. Cheers, Mike.

UnaClocker
Sound is crazy easy to get working usually. What sound chip does it have? ALC269 maybe? The fact that you have sleep working is excellent, that's a rare gift.

YureZzZ
WiFi not working? Strange... Check it again. Did you manage to get ethernet working? Also, on 16Gb SSD Leo is kinda sluggish. I wonder if we can put main parts of the OS to the fast 4Gb SSD? Like in linux, / is second SSD, /System /Library /etc on the first one. How do I do that? persichini
ok so i've tried to install the airport extreme update 2008-004 but every time i do it says that it cannot install because drive does not meet requirements... what am i doing wrong? YureZzZ
Quick info: -wireless card never going to work unless you change it -ethernet is same -sound codec maybe will work when voodoo gouy release their AppleHDA kexts, but until then - it doesn't work -16Gb SSD is sucks, too slow. Mac OS hangs for a few seconds too often. Usable speed means external usb hdd. So for now this one is crapinstosh
