drcmma
I just finished installing 10..5.5 using Sticky's method on a Gigabyte X48DS4 with Q9550 (overclocked to 3.74G),8 G of RAM, and ATI3870. Everything works fine except sleep. Before I tried this, I could find very little information on X48 MOBO. So I'm posting in case anyone else wants to go this route. To use Sticky's method, you need a working Leopard hard disk. The easiest way (in case you only have one internal hard disk) is to install Kalyway 10.5.2 in a USB hard disk. Then you boot from this USB hard disk and install 10.5.5 in your internal hard disk. You should have no problem as long as you modify the post-install.sh right. Also remember to set SATA to work in ACHI mode in bias. It really is that simple.
